History: (Aztek: The Ultimate Man #1) - Piper and a number of never-was villains operated as the Lawless Legion in NYC. Being a supervillain was his way of blowing off steam from the 80 plus hours he worked a week as a doctor. His greatest victory was defeating the team of Atom and Hawkman. His wife knew his secret, but they never spoke about it, and his daughter Mindy only had a few clues that there was something different about her father. His marriage crumbled, and he always wished he had been able to be more open with his family. He hung up his tights for ten years before a number of ex-costumed villains kidnapped his daughetr and forced him to rob a rank. He wrote a tearful letter to his daughter, hoping she was still alive, and would understand his actions. He was about to be stopped by the hero Aztek when the vigilante Bloodtype showed up and shot him up. Piper, who lay dying, and as he passed he told Aztek he was forced to pull the bank job, he was reformed, and in his civilian identity Curtis Falconer he was supposed to start his new job as doctor at St. Bartholomew's. Aztek had no secret identity or job, so he adopted Curtis' identity.
