Powers: Overthrow wore body armor containing boot-jets that enabled him to fly short distances. His primary weapon was a stylized cesta, based on the curved wicker basket used in the sport jai alai. This cesta generated balls of explosive energy that he could hurl over great distances with pinpoint accuracy. When not in use the cesta flipped back to become part of his gauntlet.History: (Blue Beetle vol. 2 #17)-Overthrow was once a low-level employee at Kord Omniversal Research and Development. After losing his job he grew embittered and was recruited by the Manhunters, who provided him with a battlesuit. He railed against what he called the American Military/Industrial conspiracy, and vowed to undermine it by destroying Kord Research. He destroyed one of the building's generators, attracting the attention of Blue Beetle II. Overthrow was temporarily restrained, but he warned Beetle that there was a bomb hidden somewhere in the Kord complex. Blue Beetle was forced to let him go in order to save hundreds of lives.
(Blue Beetle vol. 2 #20, 21, Millenium #2)-Overthrow was part of the Manhunters massive strike against Earth. He again targeted Kord Research, but was beaten by Blue Beetle.
