Powers: O'Malley was a trained police officer, and a skilled brawler despite his small size.

History: 

(Green Lantern I #30) - The chief left O'Malley in charge of the station, and he was happy to see his boss go, hoping he choked on his expensive lunch. He was reading about professor Joshua Bellbottom, who'd snapped under the strain of science when Bellbottom entered to demonstrate crime fighting restraints, gagging O'Malley and putting him in shackles. O'Malley hopped out of the office, and freed his bonds when he stumbled into the janitor , who was swinging his broom pretending to be a golf pro. He found Bellbottom at the bank using an invention that turned money into water, and beat him senseless, restoring his sanity.
