History(Hitman #5-7) - Nightfist was a vigilante who terrorized the slums of Gotham City, crippling drug dealers and other criminals. He showed an intense hatred for dealers, calling them scum of the Earth, and blaming them for the corruption on Gotham’s youth, but Nightfist was also a drug addict. He ran afoul of crooked GCPD officer Nicky Lincoln because he always took the drugs he found on dealers for himself without giving Nicky a cut. Lincoln contacted Hitman, who specialized in metahuman hits to take him out. Hitman and his sidekick Natt the Hat drew out Nightfist when Natt pretended to mug Hitman. They riddled Nightfist with bullets, but to their dismay they learned Lincoln set up the hit to draw Hitman out into the open. He was working with mobster Moe Dubelz, and after Hitman and Natt completed their contract they were hit by a grenade from Moe’s hitman Johnny Navarone. Johnny bragged that he went from town to town, finding whoever the locals thought was the best, untouchable hitman and killing him. He said he wouldn’t call himself the world’s greatest hitman, but the facts were obvious. Johnny shot Hitman numerous times, but Natt grabbed a grenade and threw it at Navarone, who survived, but the distraction allowed Hitman and Natt to flee. Nightfist, who’d survived the hit thanks to his body armor, witnessed the entire crazy ordeal. He was furious that someone out a hit on him and started hitting underworld hangouts and breaking legs until he found out everything he could about Lincoln and Dubelz. Nicky Lincoln warned Moe Dubelz that Hitman was still alive and Johnny Navarone tried to assure Moe that his death was inevitable. Natt the Hat and Hitman crashed their car into Dubelz’ mansion, crushing Lincoln to death. Dubelz ordered his men to fire on hitman and Natt while he fled with Navarone. Nightfist, wanting vengeance on Dubelz, burst through a window, but while he was making threats about his dark revenge Moe’s men and hitman and natt both opened fire on him, cutting him to ribbons.
