History
: (New Gods III #17-19) - Necromina was obsessed with death, and wanted to master it. Necromina asked for control over the Dreggs’ Cavern, where the dead Old Gods resided, and while Darkseid had no interest in the Dreggs he still demanded a favor for a favor. He took her to his science priests and had them install Mortis Mark technology in her so she could raise an army of the dead on Earth and kidnap Orion. Necromina created her zombie army and they attacked the Glen Oaks Rest Home where Orion’s old friend Victor Lanza was staying. Orion charged to the rescue, but Necromina blasted him into unconsciousness. Necromina aimed an energy blast at detective Dave Lincoln and Lanza’s son, but Victor Lanza sacrificed himself, jumping in front of the blast. Necromina’s zombies carried Orion through a Boom Tube back to Apokolips. Necromina handed over Orion to Desaad for interrogation, and asked for her reward. Darkseid said her reward was the pleasure of serving his every whim, and she should be satisfied with that. She started begging, and Darkseid nearly obliterated her, but her feigned loyalty and claims of respect for his power made him decide to grant her the Cavern.(New Gods III #26) - Metron studied the Dreggs’ Cavern and argued with Necromina, telling her the heritage of the Old Gods was not the exclusive property of Darkseid. They witnessed the rebirth of an Old God, who used his hammer to restore the Cavern to its old glory.
