(Hellblazer #177-180) - A magical war brewed in London, and Map needed an even more secure location, so he left Earth for another plane of existence. John Constantine was looking for his niece Gemma, and Map decided to help him after some initial crankiness. Domine Fredericks sent John a video tape to watch, and Map appeared to John, telling him he had to choose a side in the war after watching the tape, but he'd better choose carefully if he didn't want Map as his enemy. The video showed John's niece Gemma with two large thugs behind her, and she said she'd made new friends, including Domine Fredericks, who wanted to meet Constantine for breakfast at the Savoy. Fredericks had the mythical Red Sepulchre, but needed John to identify it from an inventory of stolen mystic goods, and made it clear Gemma lived only so long as he cooperated. John went along with it, and Map appeared to him to warn him about tipping the war in Domine's favor. When John got closer to discovering the Sepulchre he contacted Map and asked him to send backup, but warned that if he had to keep helping Fredericks to keep his niece alive he would. Map had his ally Clarice Sackville cast a spell to break Frederick's control over Gemma, and John used the Red Sepulchre to summon Kali and kill Fredericks.
