(Adventures of Superman #522 (fb)) - Satanus' DMN drug that turned users into demonic beings spread like wildfire overseas, but desperate Metropolis citizens out of work after the city was destroyed during Zero Hour also partook of the drug. Satanus wanted to cut off the need for the drug, so he gave Zatanna a psychic nudge so she would help Superman rebuild Metropolis.
(Adventures of Superman #522) - Colin Thornton read Perry White's Daily Planet article on how Superman helped rebuild Metropolis and thought it was ironic that his role in the city's reconstruction would never be known.
(Power of Shazam II #3) - Shazam knew he had not done his all to find Captain Marvel’s sister Mary, so he ventured into Hell. After battling off demons he was confronted by Satanus, who demanded to know his business. When he told Satanus he was looking for the soul of Mary Batson, Satanus banished him from Hell, telling him he was lucky his sister Blaze didn’t know what he was up to.
(Power of Shazam II #12) - Satanus aided Captain Marvel if freeing Shazam from Hades, but warned them that the next time they met it would be as enemies. Satanus freed Sarah Primm, Black Adam s sister from Hades, freeing Black Adam from Blaze s control, and leading to her defeat. Satanus chided Blaze for bringing goodness to Hades, and told her he would return to their realm to restore order.
(Adventures of Superman #534) - Colin Thornton closed down DMN suppliers and killed a DMN pusher. Superman rounded up the last of the DMN junkies when Lord Satanus appeared and incinerated them. He assured Superman that he purged the DMN drug from Metropolis in an attempt to make him feel indebted to Satanus.

Powers: Satanus was an incredibly powerful sorcerer.History: <1 million years in the future> Lord Satanis took his name in homage to Satan, but virtually nothing was known about his history. Satanis was born in an era when magic had come to rule over scientific thought, and he led a revolt of wizards that killed their ruler Ambra. In a final act of defiance, Ambra sent his most powerful magical talisman, a runestone that once belonged to Merlin, into the distant past so Satanis could not possess it. In his quest to recover the runestone Satanis traveled back in time and fought Superman.
