History

(Final Night #1-4) - The LSH and Superman greeted Dusk, an alien visitor to Earth. Saturn Girl used her telepathy to communicate with her and learned she had a warning. Superman organized a summit of superheroes to listen to Dusk. She'd seen the Sun-Eater snuff out the sun of countless planets, and she was there to warn the heroes that the Sun-Eater was headed towards Earth. The heroes discussed different ways to deal with the menace, and the LSH split up with other groups of heroes to deal with it. Cosmic Boy and his team tried to use a Boom Tube to teleport the Sun-Eater away, but it failed. Inferno and Spark helped their team create a second sun to distract it, but after the Sun-Eater extinguished their sun it still headed towards Earth's sun. The Eater engulfed the sun, so Brainiac, Saturn Girl and Lex Luthor sent Green Lantern Kyle Rayner into space to plant a probe in the sun that would give more data about the Sun-Eater and what it was doing to the sun, but Lantern mysteriously vanished. Brainiac calculated that the sun would go hyper-nova within 24 hours. Luthor designed miniature forcefield units that would hopefully shield the Earth from the sun going nova, but they needed to be delivered via spaceship, and rookie hero Ferro piloted the ship. The sun started going nova before Ferro could plant the forcefields. Parallax saved Ferro and brought him back to Earth, and then sacrificed himself to dispel the Sun-Eater and reignite the sun.

(Impulse #21) - The timelost LSH asked Impulse if he could help them return to the 30th Century. They went to the Flash Museum to use the Cosmic Treadmill, but Impulse didn't know how to properly utilize it and just sent himself and various Legionnaires forwards and backward in time 10 minutes. He then accidentally brought back raptors from the Jurassic era. He managed to send them back to the past, but the LSH said they definitely didn't need his help.

(Legion #1-3) - The Legion returned to Earth after a year's absence, finding the planet repaired, R.J. Brande replaced by President McCault, and the Legion replaced by the Oversight Watch. Rebels from Corvan IV attacked the U.P. building and held the delegates hostage, demanding the U.P. aid their troubled planet. The Legion saved the U.P. Mr. Verge sent the Legion to the Science Police Research Facility for a debriefing, but it was a trap and the Legion's ship exploded. Brainiac shielded the team with a forcefield, but they crashed in Metropolis' subsurface levels and were attacked by the Oversight Watch, who were under orders from Verge and President Leland to kill them. After two inconclusive battles, the Legion fled to the Metropolis reactor, where they found many corpses, including that of the real Leland McCauly. Triad picked them up in the Bouncing Boy. A year ago the Legionnaires that remained on Earth knew the U.P. had been corrupted, so Brande constructed Legion World, a planet hq for the Legion. With the team reunited they'd continue work on the World. The Legion visited Ayla Ranzz and broke the news of her brother's death. Ayla, Wildfire, Invisible Kid and Saturn Girl went to the remains of Progenitor's Rosette and saw a flash of lightning.

(Martian Manhunter II #11 (fb)) - Martian Manhunter contacted the LSH when McCaulty industries tried to develop the home planet of the Hssfsstss, a sentient plant life. Leland McCauly had faked the results of telepathic scans his company did on the planet so he could wipe out the Hssfsstss without anyone being the wiser. U.P. courts made a decision on the side of the Hssfsstss, and the LSH halted the development.
