Her unique motivation was that if she didn't come up with some money fast her estate was going to be foreclosed. She traveled to Bludhaven and did work for crimeboss Angel Marin. When Marin refused her payment she threatened the lives of Mari's lawyer Maxwell Reed and Reed's daughter. Nightwing intervened and saved them.
Vic was furious at Nightwing, and gladly took a semi-regular job with Blockbuster II, Nightwing's arch enemy.
(Catwoman II #68) - Selina ran for mayor as her next phase of taking Manhattan, and hired a woman named Diane as her assistant. She did well in the polls, and mafia member Mr. Sergeyevitch wanted her killed and his own pawn councilman Murty put in office, hiring a number of mercs to get the job done. Selina held a rally at the Statue of Liberty she was confronted by Lady Vic and had to make a quick costume change into Catwoman. They fought atop the Statue of Liberty, and she defeated Vic, who'd been posing as her assistant to get close to her.
(Secret Origins of Super-Villains 80-Page Giant #1) - Vandal Savage approached Lady Vic to join Tartarus, and after he agreed to her costly retainer she joined the team. Vandal promised Vic and the other members an opportunity to control mankind’s destiny.
(Titans II #19) - Lady Vic was hired by Mr. Demidov to kill Anton, a witness at his trial. She was foiled by Red Arrow, but unnerved him by telling him about how Cheshire talked about her old flame. He retaliated by comparing her profession to prostitution, which she saw as a slight not against just her, but the long line of killers she came from. She escaped, but Red Arrow tracked her to her headquarters. Red Arrow was distracted during their fight, he kept worrying about being a good enough father to his daughter Lian, and Vic got the drop on him, and almost choked him to death with a chain. When he recovered and bested her he felt murderous rage, thinking about Lian growing up without him, but he calmed himself down, remembering that he was a father, not a killer.
