Infinity Man could generate bolts of energy or magnetic fields, and could rearrange the molecular structure of inanimate objects.

History(Jack Kirby’s Fourth World #17 (fb), 18 (fb)) - Astorr was a New God, and the latest in a long line of his people who sought the power of the Infinity Pit. Like the others he failed to wield the power, but the brief connection to the Source gave him cosmic powers The explosion of the Infinity Pit sent him to the peaceful world of Adon, and he found logs of those who came before him, detailing the ways of the infinite, and an understanding of the universe. He also inherited the Infinity Man armor, for those who’d been on Adon realized that one day a god would wield the power of the Infinity Pit, and that much power had to be opposed by a champion. After ages of waiting, one day Infinity Man came across the charred form of New God Drax, who’d made a bid for the Infinity Pit. Drax revealed that his evil brother Darkseid claimed the power, and Infinity Man knew it was time to act. Unfortunately he’d waited too long, and his great age led to his natural death. Before he died he gave the Infinity Man mantle to Drax, and told him to stop his brother.
