Powers:Geo-Force had superhuman strength, endurance and invulnerability. He could manipulate the force of gravity, increasing or reducing it at will. Geo-Force uses ‘lava blasts’ that functioned as an offensive weapon, or could propel him through the air at up to 500 mph. The treatments used to give Geo-Force his powers were specifically tailored to the Markovian royal family, and were potentially fatal to anyone else.
History: (Batman and the Outsiders #1)-Prince Brion first assumed the role of Geo-Force when his native country Markovia was invaded by the usurper Baron Bedlam. Brion's father King Viktor was killed in the conflict, and his brother Gregor assumed the throne. In an attempt to save his country, he was given his powers through the scientific discoveries of Dr. Helga Jace. Geo-Force was aided by several other superheros in bringing down Bedlam. After Bedlam’s defeat, the group moved to Gotham City, where they began tutelage under Batman II as the Outsiders.
(Batman and the Outsiders #32)-Markovia is again threatened by Baron Bedlam, and an argument between Geo-Force and Batman prompts Batman to leave the team.
(Outsiders vol. 1 #28)-Geo-Force disbands the Outsiders after the events of Millenium.
(Showcase '93 #4, 5) - Geo-Force flew Denise Howard to Markovia so they could spend some quality time together, and she was deeply impressed with his nobility. Geo-Force had to deal with a mysterious electric fire at the Earth-Fusion Lab before bringing Denise back to his castle. He showed her ceremonial armor, and told her that Queen Ilona was expecting an heir. he'd imagined he'd one day be king, but was happy to step aside, because his first duty was to serve Queen and country. They soon discovered the culprits behind the fire, the Untouchables, villains who could turn intangible. One of their number, Clyde Barrows, was dying because he'd been permanently rendered intangible, and they needed Markovian tech to fix his condition. Geo-Force promised to render his assistance if they agreed to surrender to his authorities, because he wasn't about to hand over scientific equipment to criminals. They balked, and turned him intangible so he could see what their friend was going through. Geo-Force almost suffocated because he couldn't breathe air before using a plus-gravity field to make himself more solid. Untouchable Bonnie panicked and put a gun to Denise's head. Geo-Force still refused to deal with terrorists, and negotiations got tense before Denise reminded them that if they didn't start working together Clyde as a dead man. Geo-Force made a royal pledge to cure Clyde, and he would allow them to go free afterwards. They went to Dr. Kneidel's lab, where she hooked up a generator to Geo-Force so he could extend his plus-gravity field to Clyde Barrow. Untouchable John Dillinger doubted the royal word and started destroying equipment, making Geo-Force's generator overload so they'd have a chance to flee. Geo-Force released the resulting explosion in the atmosphere, and retuned to earth to apprehend the Untouchables, who realized they screwed up in not trusting his word.
(Green Lantern III #81) - Coast City; Geo-Force was among the heroes who attended a memorial service for Green Lantern Hal Jordan.
(Day of Judgment #4) - Geo-Force and the Outsiders battled an army of demons unleashed on Markova when Asmodel brought Hell to Earth.
(JLA: Our Worlds at War #1) - On President Luthor's request Geo-Force and the Outsiders went to South Pole, Antarctica to battle an Imperiex Probe that had landed on Earth to hollow out the planet, but the battle went badly for the heroes.
(JSA #33-35) - The Ultra-Humanite used Johnny Thunder’s Thunderbolt to conquer the world, and imprisoned Geo-Force and virtually every superhuman on Earth in stasis tubes, only reviving them when he needed mind-controlled slaves to serve in his personal guard the Thunderfront. Geo-Force served as a member of the Thunderfront when they attacked the JSA, the only heroes not under the Humanite’s control. The JSA used a device that disrupted the braincaps Humanite used to control the Thunderfront, leaving them unconscious but freed from Humanite’s mental domination. The JSA later defeated Humanite.
(JLA / JSA: Virtue and Vice) - Moscow, Geo-Force and the Outsiders battled citizens under the control of the Seven Deadly Sins. The Sins were defeated by the JLA and JSA, and their influence over the people of Moscow ended.
(Identity Crisis #6) - Geo-Force learned of the death of Jack Drake, Robin’s father, an visite Terra’s grave.
(Villains United: Infinite Crisis Special #1) - When the Society broke out virtually every incarcerated supervillain around the world Martian Manhunter sent a telepathic S.O.S. asking every available hero to stop the breakouts, and Geo-Force was among the heroes who responded.
(52 / WWIII Part Four: United We Stand #1) <Week 50, Day 7> Black Adam arrived in China, and prepared to destroy the entire country. He defeated China's superhero team the Great Ten before China allowed Geo-Force and the American superhero community to square off against him. Black Adam was a god with nothing left to lose, and each punch he threw was intended to kill. His savagery was winning the day until Martian Manhunter reappeared and flooded his brain with his own loss, the death of the entire Martian species. Black Adam was distracted long enough for Captain Marvel to hurl a Shazam bolt at him. Theo Adam was powerless, and left with amnesia. He staggered away unnoticed from the end of WWIII.
(Justice League of America II #4-7) - Geo-Force was on the HMY Viktor when it was bombed. Geo-Force crawled from the wreckage, and put in a call to Black Lightning. His physician Alina Raileaneu examined him, and was worried about his powers failing, but he was too proud to let her speak her mind. His memories started going, and he found himself dressing in his old Geo-Force costume. Geo-Force met with Black Lightning in Gotham City, and told him he suspected that he was the one that sunk his own ship because his powers were out of control, and he'd seemingly acquired Terra's powers.
(Tales of the Sinestro Corps: Superman-Prime #1) - An army of Earth's heroes, including Geo-Force and the Outsiders, appeared to take Superboy-Prime down during the Sinestro Corps invasion of Earth. The heroes focused on wrecking his armor, because after a year on Oa, and away from a yellow sun his Kryptonian body still wasn't at full strength, and his armor collected sunlight. Superboy bragged that once the sun rose on Earth he'd be at full power. Superboy was battered by Wonder Girl and Wonder Woman, who blamed him for Superboy's death, as well as Supergirl and Power Girl, who blamed him for the death of the Superman of Earth-2. As the fight went against him, Superboy broke down in tears. He tried to wipe them away, saying that it was impossible for boys to cry, and then whining that no one ever thanked him for sacrificing his Earth to save the multiverse. The battle lasted until dawn, and he flew into the sunrise. As he achieved full power he declared himself the one, true Superman. The Guardians arrived with Sodam Yat, the new Ion, and pitted him against Superboy-Prime.
(Batman & The
Outsiders Special #1, Outsiders IV #15) - Feeling the call of the Earth
Geo-Force spent weeks digging a hole before burying himself for three days. His
servant dug him out to announce the presence of Alfred Pennyworth, who'd come to
recruit him for the new Outsiders. Alfred assembled the Outsiders and explained
Batman's vision, that they all represented aspects of his personality, and that
there would always be a 'Batman' outside Gotham. He required them to go off the
grid, cutting off contact with everyone in their lives and becoming true
Outsiders. They'd be a frontline group, constantly in the line-of-fire and
constantly risking their lives. Geo-Force rankled at a butler giving orders, but
Alfred reminded him that he'd served in MI-6 and was Batman's aide for many
years. Alfred dismissed them to consider his offer, and Geo-Force brought Katana
to the alley where he fought Deathstroke. He admitted that he had no one to miss
in Markovia aside from his servant Sergai, and as he relived his encounter with
Deathstroke, he asked Katana if she'd do anything to defeat someone trying to
steal her soul. She said yes, because souls are all we have, and they kissed.
They rejoined the Outsiders the next day, as did all of Alfred's other recruits.
Alfred told them they'd be confronting the Outsiders greatest enemy, who'd been
behind their conflicts with such former antagonists as Bad Samaritan, the Duke
of Oil, and the Force of July, even though they'd never met face-to-face.
(Titans II #22, Blackest Night: Titans #1) - Geo-Force and several other heroes gathered at Titans Tower for Hero's Day, a remembrance of their brothers and sisters in arms that died in the line of duty. Geo-Force paid his respects at Terra's statue, and left Hero's Day early. Most of Terra's former teammates only remembered her as a traitor.
