History: (Vigilante #5, 7) - Saber was a mafia killer for the Leibowitz crime family, who became friends with Cannon, a hitman for the Rinaldi mob. They became lovers, and soon Saber insisted that they kill their bosses and make a takeover of the mobs. They got immunity from their crimes by making a deal with DA Marcia King, but Vigilante prevented them from bringing their mobs together, and in the ensuing fight all three were seriously injured. Cannon and Saber were sent to a hospital ward to recover under the strictest security. Captain Hall questioned them, and Saber used his plasticware to cut his throat, enabling the hitmen to escape.

(Vigilante I #35, Vigilante Annual #2) - A new crimeboss was eliminating the competition in NYC, and hired Cannon and Saber. They ambushed holdout Manzetti, slaughtering him and his goons. The crimeboss, asked if they'd be interested in taking out Vigilante, and they were overjoyed at the prospect of a rematch. They celebrated their good fortune with some champagne and private time. Cannon and Saber caught up with Vigilante in Brooklyn, and their battle raged through a tenement until Vigilante shot Cannon after Saber stuck him with a sai. Saber was devastated that he partner was wounded, and left to spirit him to a hospital. He soon realized that Vigilante had used a tranquilizer gun, but by that time Vigilante had fled. Cannon awoke, and said they'd agreed the contract always came first, and Saber said it wasn't his fault he cared more about Cannon than any contract. During the fight they'd mentioned going to LI to collect their money for the hit, and feared Vigilante would go after their crimeboss, putting their rep and lives in jeopardy. Vigilante had found the crimeboss on LUI, but Cannon and Saber arrived in time to allow their boss a quick getaway on his yacht. Cannon fired and Saber threw his sais, but Vigilante ducked, and they ended up hitting each other.

(JSA #28) - Nevada; Cannon and Saber went to Roulette's House to attend one of her gladiatorial contests. They were among the crowd of villains that watched members of the JSA forced to fight each other.

Cannon received a profile in Who’s Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe #26.

In most of their appearances Cannon and Saber are mistakenly called by each other's names. Anyone have info on that?
