History:  Darkseid planned to eliminate Earth's heroes, and to that end he worked with Desaad to create Brimstone.

(Superman / Batman #3) - Brimstone and a number of other supervillains attempted to collect the billion dollar bounty President Luthor placed on Superman s head but failed.
