Powers: Ace was a loyal dog, and a skilled tracker.
History: Ace was a German Shepherd owned by engraver John Wilker. When his master was kidnapped, he caught the attention of Batman and Robin, who rescued Wilker. The heroes made Ace their crimefighting pooch Ace The Bat-Hound.
(Batman I #156) - Robin discovered a miniature deer soon after meeting the miniature superhero Ant-Man. He'd heard that Professor Hanson was researching a shrinking formula, so to uncover his secret lab he employed Ace the Bat-Hound to track the deer's trail back to Hanson's lab.
(Batman I #156) - Commissioner Gordon called Batman, who'd retired because a simulated space flight was causing him hallucinations, to tell him Robin had been abducted by the Gorilla Gang. Batman used Ace to track down the Gang, and overcame his hallucinations to save his partner.
