Path of Conjuring
Personal Note:
This is one of the paths that can make a Tremere great. Granted we excell over the other clans naturally but this, this gives us an extra push. This was the first path I learned, of course after the path of Blood, and it has gotten me out of many many scrapes. I can not stress how much it would benefit a new Tremere to learn this path. It is not easy and some of it is not fun.....but who said being Tremere was easy and fun?
Level One.....
>Summoning the Simple Form<
You can summon a simple inanimate object. The object cannot have any moving parts and cannot be more complex than, for example, a flint dagger, a wooden stakd or a featureless gold doubloon.
Spend one willpower Trait for each minute you wish the object to exist. If relevent, the Storyteller may have you make a simple test to determine the quality of the object. You may re-test this with an appropriate Ability.
Level Two.....
>Permancy<
You can now conjure an object without continuing expenditure of Willpower. This object is real, and will not dissapear after a certain period of time--it is here to stay.
Spend one Blood Trait to create the object. Again, the Storyteller may have you make a simple test for quality.
Level Three...
>Magic of the Smith<
You can create complex devices with movable parts. Guns, CD players or almost anything else can be called up using Magic of the Smith.
Conjuring such a device cost two Blood Traits. With
such complex objects, the Storyteller will almost always have you do a test to determine the object's quality.
Level Four....
>Reverse Conjuration<
This power allows you to attempt to dissolve someone else's conjuration
Spend as many Blood Traits as it would take to create the object in question. Then defeat the target in a Mental Challenge (Occult).
Level Five....
>Power over Life<
While true life is still beyond your capability, this power enable you to create simulacra of living creatures. The living beings thus summoned lack free will, emotions or creativity, but will intelligently follow your instructions. Even with Permancy, such creatures fade over time, adn will cease to exist in about a month.
Spend three Blood Traits to create the creature. Make a simple test (Animal Ken) with the Storyteller to determine the quality of your creation.
