Rebecca A. "Becky" Smelser was born December 1830 in Kentucky [probably Calloway County] to William G. and Mary "Polly" (Thompson) Smelser. In the 1830 Calloway County, Kentucky census, Rebecca is listed as female age 20-30. She moved with her parents from Calloway County to Greene County, Arkansas by 1840. In the 1840 Greene County census, she is listed as female age 5-10 (born 1830-1835). Becky married Alford/Alfred Tucker before 1850.
