WFW Thursday Night Rage (1/28/99)
[The screen turns black and the letters,
W...F...W slowly make their way onto the
screen. The letters explode into darkness as
the word "RAGE" can now be seen. We are taken
inside the arena where thousands of screaming
fans are standing. The camera pans the crowd
and brings us to the announcers table at
ringside where Jumbo Hastings is standing.]
JH: Welcome everyone to Thursday Night
Rage!!! We are live from the !!! Tonight we
have 12 matches with 4 titles on the line!!
Don't forget about the first ever Deadly Game
match!! The World and American Titles will be
on the line for a record 3 times each in one
night!! Lets go to the action!!
#1 HT: Mysterio .v. The Brewer
JH: Mysterio wants revenge for what Brewer
did Thursday when he turned his back on him
in a Tag match. Mysterio is all over Brewer.
Suplex by Mysterio. Hurricanrana by Mysterio.
DDT by Mysterio. Low Blow by Brewer.
Piledriver by Brewer. Slam by Brewer. Brewer
puts Mysterio on the top rope. Brewer goes
for a Skullcracker, but Mysterio grabs Brewer
and jumps out and back, and Brewer's head
hits the top turnbuckle! Mysterious Edge by
Mysterio!! 1, 2, 3!! Mysterio wins!!
#2 TW: Dragon .v. WP: Elric
(Coal Miner's Glove Match)
JH: Both men are in the cage. Above the cage
is a Loaded Glove. The first one to get the
glove gets to use it. Dragon starts off
pounding on Elric. Whip and a Drop Kick by
Dragon. Suplex by Dragon. DDT by Dragon.
Neckbreaker by Dragon. Elbow drop by Dragon.
Dragon whips Elric into the ropes and uses
the Dragon Dive on Elric. Dragon goes up top
and goes for a Dragon Bomb, but Elric moves
out of the way. Hurricanrana by Elric. Power
Bomb by Elric. Splash by Elric. Elric climbs
the cage, and connects with a Missile Drop
Kick. Elric goes for a Stormbringer, but
Dragon reverses it and slams the head of
Elric into the cage! Dragon is tired, but he
starts to climb the cage with Elric flat on
the mat. Dragon is at the top now. He grabs
the glove! Elric is still down. Dragon puts
it on. It looks like Dragon is going for a
fist drop from the top of the cage with that
glove, but Elric rolls out of the way! Elric
is back up, and he kicks Dragon. He grabs the
glove and nails Dragon with it! Stormbringer
by Elric!! 1, 2, 3!! Elric wins!!
#3 EA: Psycho .v. HT: P-Nut
JH: P-Nut goes after Psycho early.
Backbreaker by P-Nut. Side Walk Slam by
P-Nut. Elbow drop by P-Nut. Leg Drop by
P-Nut. P-Nut goes for a Bass-ic Slam, but
Psycho backdrops P-Nut. Death Valley driver
by Psycho. DDT by Psycho. Psycho goes up top
and hits a 450 Splash on P-Nut. Psycho puts
P-Nut backwards on the top rope. Hangman's
Neckbreaker by Psycho. Psycho puts P-Nut back
on the top rope. Top Rope Franksteiner by
Psycho! 1, 2, 3!! Psycho wins!!!
#4 WCW: Johnny Gunn .v. HT: Chad Sexton
JH: Sexton and Gunn fight it out. Clothesline
by Sexton. Neckbreaker by Sexton. Leg Drop by
Sexton. German Suplex by Sexton. Sexton puts
Gunn on the top rope. He goes for the Drum
Stick, but Gunn hangs onto the ropes. Tornado
DDT by Gunn. Rolling Splash by Gunn.
Hurricanrana by Gunn. Gunn goes up tope. 450
Splash by Gunn. Moonsault off the second rope
by Gunn. Gunn whips Sexton into the ropes and
the Dogg's Bite by Gunn!! 1, 2, 3!! Gunn
wins!! Here comes Masked Messiah, Firestorm,
Ivanhoe, and Mysterio. They attack Gunn! They
nail Gunn with chair shots to the head. Then,
they get some green and black spray paint and
paint HT on Gunn's back! Then, they leave.
#5 EA: Pinhead .v. WCW: Panther
(Non-Title Match)
JH: Pinhead and Panther fight it out. Slam by
Pinhead. Leg Drop by Pinhead. Hurricanrana by
Pinhead. Power Bomb by Pinhead. Pinhead puts
Panther on the top rope. Pinhead goes for the
Pindrop, but Panther fights back and pushes
Pinhead to the mat. Missile Drop Kick by
Panther. DDT by Panther. Suplex by Panther.
Panther Cutter by Panther. Panther puts
Pinhead on the top rope. Pantherplex by
Panther. 1, 2, kickout! Kick and Panther goes
for Da' Bomb, but Pinhead reverses it into a
Hurricanrana. Wait, here comes Masked
Messiah, Mysterio, Firstorm, and Ivanhoe.
They tell Pinhead to leave the ring. Seeing
that Pinhead is outnumbered, he decides to
leave the ring. HT then chases the ref away.
They bring out cattleprods and zap Panther
with them! Then they spray paint HT on
Panther's back. They leave the ring. This
match is a No Contest!!!
#6 HT: Ivanhoe .v. WP: Mark De La Rocha
JH: Rocha punches away at Ivanhoe. Suplex by
Rocha. DDT by Rocha. Side Walk Slam by Rocha.
Slam by Rocha. Leg Drop by Rocha. Low Blow by
Ivanhoe. Neckbreaker by Ivanhoe. Power Bomb
by Ivanhoe. Ivanhoe goes for a Choke Slam,
but Rocha low blows Ivahoe. The ref starts to
argue with Rocha about that. Here comes
Masked Messiah with a cattleprod. Messiah
throws the prod into the ring and Ivanhoe
grabs it. Rocha turns around and goes to pick
up Ivanhoe. Ivanhoe zaps Rocha with the prod,
and quickly hides it from the ref. The ref
checks on Rocha and Ivanhoe throws the prod
outside the ring. Choke Slam by Ivanhoe!! 1,
2, 3!! Ivanhoe wins!! Wait, the lights go
out! I hammering noise is heard! When the
lights are back on, Rocha is tied up in
ribbons and he has a bow on his head. On his
chest, the words: "Beware of the Dogg" is
written in blood!
#7 HT (Masked Messiah, Firestorm, and
Christopher Hall) .v. WP (Iceberg, Wesley
Brown, and Bam Bm Bigelow)
(Stable Championship)
JH: All 6 are in the ring and they fight it
out. This match won't last long. Bam Bam and
Hall go to the outside and fight. Kick and a
Blaze of Glory by Firestorm on Brown. Iceberg
knocks down Messiah. Firestorm goes for a
Blaze of Glory on Iceberg, but Iceberg
backdrops Firestorm. Iceberg puts Messiah on
the top rope. Ice Drop by Iceberg on Messiah.
Firestorm nails Iceberg from behind. Brown
nails Firestorm. Brown throws Messiah outside
the ring on top of both Bam Bam and Hall!
Brown and Iceberg put Firestorm on the top
rope. The Whirlwind by Brown on Firestorm!!
1, 2, 3 !! WP are the NEW Stable Champions!!!
#8 TW: Bear .v. WP: Maurice Bromell .v. HT:
Untouchable (Hardcore Championship/Triple
Threat/Cage Match)
JH: All three men are inside the cage and
they fight it out. This match won't last
long. All 3 men take turns bashing each other
heads into the cage! Spinning Powerbomb by
Bear on Bromell. Stunner by Untouchable on
Bear. Untouchable starts to climb the cage,
but he wants to get Bromell, so he climbs
down. He goes for a Stunner on Bromell, but
Bromell pushes Untouchable into the cage!
Tombstone by Bromell on Untouchable! Bear
starts to climb the cage. Bromell follows
Bear up. He nails Bear from behind. The
Hellhound from the cage on Bear by Bromell!!
Bromell then bashes Untouchable and Bear
together! Bromell then climbs up and out of
the cage!! Bromell is the NEW Hardcore
Champion!!
#9 Doom .v. Iceman Jason McGrew
(American Championship)
JH: Here comes Masked Messiah and Ivanhoe.
They take a seat near the entrance way. They
are eating popcorn. During the course of this
match, they hold up signs like, "Doom has a
one millimeter peter" and "Iceman is
Clinton's new intern". Both men ignore HT and
they wait for the bell. There's the bell and
they lock up. Headlock by Iceman. Iceman runs
the ropes and nails Doom with a Shoulder
Block. Armbar by Iceman. Armdrag takedown by
Iceman. Short-arm clothesline by Iceman.
Headlock by Iceman. Doom back to his feet and
elbows Iceman. Doom runs into the ropes, but
he gets caught with a knee to the gut by
Iceman. Swinging Neckbreaker by Iceman. Lou
Thez Press by Iceman. Iceman goes to the
second rope and hits Doom with an elbow drop.
DDT by Iceman. Cover for a 1, 2, kickout!!
Headlock by Iceman. Doom looks out, but he
gets up. Doom nails Iceman in the stomach.
Doom backs into the ropes and Iceman ducks
his head, but Doom hangs onto the ropes and
nails Iceman. Iceman paid for that mistake.
Doom slam Iceman. Elbow by Doom. DDT by Doom.
Choke Slam by Doom. Vertical Suplex by Doom.
Doom slings Iceman into the ropes and hits
Iceman with a Flying Tackle. Lefts and Rights
by Iceman. Reverse DDT by Doom. Doom picks up
Iceman for the Doomsday Driver, but Iceman
shifts his weight and uses a Tombstone
piledriver on Doom! Cover for a 1, 2,
KICKOUT!! Iceman almost had him. Iceman picks
up Doom and goes for an Ice Cold Stunner, but
Doom pushes Iceman into the ropes. Doom tries
to clothesline Iceman but Iceman ducks. Kick
and an Ice Cold Stunner!! 1, 2, 3!! Iceman is
the NEW American Champion!!! What a match!
#10 Razor Ramon .v. Doom (World Championship)
JH: HT holds up more signs that say, "Ramon
blows baby elephants" and "HT is where it's
at". Doom has had only a few minutes to rest
before this match. The bell rings and they
lock up. Ramon takes control over. Headlock
and a Shoulder Block by Ramon. Armbar by
Ramon. Choke Slam by Ramon. Stomps by Ramon.
Ramon applies an Abdominal Stretch. Ramon
uses the ropes for leverage. Ramon lets go of
the move. Belly-to-Belly Suplex by Ramon.
Elbow drop by Ramon. Ramon goes to the second
rope and connects with a Flying Clothesline.
Ramon throws Doom outside. Ramon slings Doom
into the steel steps. Remember, all of these
Deadly Game matches are No D.Q./No Countout!
Ramon tries to ram the head of Doom into the
guardrail, but Doom elbows Ramon and rams
Ramon's head into the guardrail. Doom has to
be tired, but he is still in there. Doom
throws Ramon into the annoucer's table. Slam
on the floor by Doom. Doom picks up a chair
and nails Ramon in the back with it! Doom
throws the chair in the ring, and then Ramon.
DDT by Ramon. Suplex by Doom. Doom puts Ramon
the top rope. Top Rope DDT by Doom. Cover for
a 1, 2, kickout! Choke Slam by Doom. Doom
goes up top and goes for a Spear off the top
rope, but Ramon moves out of the way! Both
men are out! Ramon and Doom are back up. Kick
by Ramon. Fallaway Slam by Ramon. Ramon
motions for the Edge. He sets Doom up. Wait,
someone jumps the railing of the crowd It is
Untouchable with a lead pipe! He enters the
ring and nails Ramon in the back of the head
with the pipe!! Ramon is out. Doom gets up
and see Untouchable leaving. He has a
confused look on his face. Doom picks up
Ramon and uses the Doomsday Driver on Ramon
on the chair!! 1, 2, 3!! Doom is the NEW
World Champion!!! Doom doesn't know if
Untouchable did anything or not. All he knows
he had won the World Title!
#11 Razor Ramon .v. Iceman Jason McGrew
(American Championship)
JH: HT holds one more sign up that says, "We
are standing at 10 inches each". This has to
be a test to Ramon's stamina, because he has
to face Iceman now. The bell rings and they
lock up. Iceman nails Ramon with punches.
Iceman has had a little longer to rest for
this match. Headlock by Iceman. Clothesline
by Iceman. Headlock and a Shoulder Block by
Iceman. Lou Thez Press by Iceman. DDT by
Iceman. Reverse DDT by Iceman. Swinging
Neckbreaker by Iceman. Leg Drop by Iceman.
Iceman goes outside and grabs a chair. He
brings it into the ring. He swings it at
Ramon, but Ramon ducks. Kick and a DDT by
Ramon. Back Suplex by Ramon. Abdominal
Stretch by Ramon. Iceman hiptosses Ramon out
of it. Clothesline by Iceman. Slam by Iceman.
Suplex by Iceman. Iceman goes to the second
rope and hits Ramon with an elbow drop.
Iceman goes for an Ice Cold Stunner, but
Ramon gets out of it and rolls to the
outside. Iceman follows Ramon to the outside.
Iceman rams Ramon into the guardrail. Iceman
tries to sling Ramon into the steps, but
Ramon reverses it and whips Iceman into the
steps. Ramon drags a table from underneath
the ring. He sets it up inside the ring.
Ramon rolls Iceman into the ring. Fallaway
Slam by Ramon. Ramon sets up Iceman for a
Razor's Edge through the table, but Iceman
backdrops Ramon onto the table! The table
does not break! Ramon is on the table. Iceman
goes to the top rope. He elbow drops Ramon on
the table! But still the table will not
break!! Iceman is hurting, but he goes to the
top rope again. He looks like he is going for
a Moonsault. Ramon gets off of the table.
Ramon climbs the ropes and pounds on Iceman.
Ramon puts Iceman on his shoulders. Wait,
Iceman goes for a Victory Roll, but Iceman
falls to far forward, and lands on his neck
and shoulders. Ramon cradles Iceman. Ramon
has his feet on the rope! 1, 2, 3!! Ramon is
the NEW American Champion!! I guess with a
match like this, you will take the win anyway
you can get it. Three NEW champions have been
crowned and we still have one more big
match!! Lets go to it!
#12 Doom .v. Razor Ramon .v. Iceman Jason
McGrew (World Championship/American
Championship/Triple Threat Match)
JH: All three men are in the ring. They start
off brawling. Ramon clotheslines Doom. Iceman
clotheslines Ramon. Vertical Suplex by Iceman
on Ramon. Double-Arm Suplex by Iceman on
Doom. Iceman slings Ramon into the ropes, and
hits the Lou Thez Press on him. Doom is up
and drops an elbow on Iceman. Reverse DDT by
Doom on Iceman. Power Bomb by Doom on Ramon.
Doom applies a Double Headlock on both Iceman
and Ramon. Elbows by Iceman on Doom. Knee to
the gut of Iceman by Doom. Clothesline from
behind by Ramon on Doom. Back Suplex by Ramon
on Iceman. German Suplex by Ramon on Doom.
Fallaway Slam on Doom and then Iceman by
Ramon. Ramon throws Iceman outside the ring.
Here comes Phoenix Thunder. He nails Iceman
with a chair on the outside!! Ramon sets up
Doom for a Razor's Edge. The light go out!!!
Pyro goes off and when the lights come back
on, Doom is bleeding and Panther and Gunn are
at ringside! Here comes the Wolfpack! Rocha,
Iceberg, Bromell, Brown, Elric, and Bam Bam
Bigelow run to the ring. They attack Iceman
and Doom!! They destroy them!! Iceman has no
friends to help him. EA tries to help Doom,
but WP has them outnumbered! Remember this is
No DQ!! Razor's Edge by Ramon on Doom and
Iceman!! Cover for a 1, 2, 3!! Ramon is the
NEW World Champion!! And Iceman is the NEW
American Champion, because he beat Doom
earlier tonight!! Panther and Gunn drag Doom
outside the arena! They powerbomb Doom
through a car outside the arena!! MY GOD!!
