Thursday Night Rage (9/30/99)
[The scene opens up inside the WFW Studios at WFW Headquarters where Jumbo Hastings is sitting behind a desk.]
JH: Well the Thursday Night Rage results were taped last night and I am here to bring you a recap again. So lets go right to it and lets play the tape of last night's Rage!!
[The screen turns black and the letters,
W...F...W slowly make their way onto the
screen. The letters explode into darkness as
the word "RAGE" can now be seen. Then, the WFW Theme begins to play, as we are taken inside the arena
where thousands of screaming fans are
standing. The camera pans the crowd and ends
at the announce table where Jumbo Hastings is sitting.]
JH: Welcome everyone to Thursday Night Rage!! We are live from the Ice Palace in Tampa, FL! Tonight we have 6 matches for you including 1 title match! Lets go to the action!
[As soon as the thursday night show starts, Brommel Jr.'s music plays. He comes out to a decent pop, he has a Maurice Brommel tshirt on and some black jeans. He quickly makes his way into the ring, and gets a mic.]
BrommelJr: I'm here to start this show off with a little pizaaz, a little entertainment, and to tell everyone that my dad was the greatest wrestler of all time. And let me tell you something about my dad, he hated people that liked to run their mouths, and then when it was time to fight, they were no where to be seen. Now there's a new guy around here calling himself the Crippler. Yeah thats right Tony Hayes. He likes to run his mouth, if he can back it up is another thing.
Well Tony, I want to see if you really can back up your mouth, so this sunday I'm calling your ass out!!!
[Fans give a little pop.]
And since you think you're a crippler, why don't we make this a Crippler rules match. IN this match the only way to win is if you can make your opponent give up, and if someone gets crippled in the process thats just part of the match. So lets see what you got come sunday, and I'll show you what a Bloodhound can do!!!
[He tosses the mic out of the ring, and leaves to another decent pop, chants of Maurice ring throughout the building.]
#1 The Guardian vs. Foly
(No DQ Match)
JH: This was the debut match for Guardian. Before the match, the cameras went backstage and showed a forklift blocking the door of the Universal Soldier and Johnny Blaze locker room. This was a good match. But in the end Foly hit a massive chair shot and applied the Cactus Grip to take the win!!
#2 Tony Hayes vs. Sabbath
JH: This was a double debut match for both men. Sabbath showed little effort here, but Hayes looked great. Hayes eventually won with The Crippling Chronic!!
[Suddenly Seek and Destroy starts to play by Metallica and out walks Da Man with Chronos and the crowd goes crazy and they get in the ring and grab the mic]
Da Man: Well, well, well look who's back, it seem's you fans out there are happy to see me back in the WFW, yeah I quit, and who know's maybe I'm just lyin and I may just be here to observe things, only time will tell but I got me a little bit of backup now and you all will find out who it is every day until the PPV. But anyway, I am back, the best has returned to claim what should be his and that is the World title, because I am the other winner of the Lord of the Squared Circle and the winner get's a title shot so Prez whether you like it or not I will get my shot and your worst nightmare will come true because I will be champion, but right now I am challenging the IC champion to give me a shot at the Ic title at the PPV, if you got the balls, let's get out of here, we got business to do...
[Seek and Destroy plays and Da Man, Chronos leave]
#3 Brian Williams vs. Johnny Blaze
JH: Another good match, but Williams showed a little more moves than Blaze. Blaze missed the Dogg Drop and Williams hit the Hardkore Drop for the win!!
#4 Gang Starr vs. Matt Lake
JH: This match was great. This was definitely the best match of the night. Both men tried every move they could think of but no one would go down. Finally the bell rang and that meant that the 15 Minute Time Limit had expired and this match was a DRAW!!
#5 Psycho vs. The Universal Soldier
JH: This was pretty much all Psycho. Soldier tried to finish the match with the Atom Bomb, but Psycho grabbed Soldier's head and reversed it right into the Kiss of Death for the win!! Afterwards Johnny Kool came out to celebrate with Psycho it seemed, but out of nowhere Lance Michaels and X Kid ran out and attacked Kool and Psycho!! X Kid gives Psycho the X Bomb and Michaels hits the DX DDT on Kool! They then leave through the crowd. Officials helped up Kool and Psycho.
#6 Crow and Shocker vs. Jakal and X Kid
(Tag Team Championship)
JH: Crow and Shocker did not seem like their usual selves. Jakal and X Kid were working great together throughout the match while Crow and Shocker barely worked together. And it showed in the end. Crow went for the Bloodflow DDT on X Kid. But Chronos ran out and distracted the ref. Da Man then ran out and hit the Da Plow on Crow!! X Kid then hit the X Bomb on Shocker!! And Jakal then used his Kendo Stick to hit the Kendo Glory for the win!! X Kid and Jakal are the NEW Tag Team Champions!!! Afterwards, Johnny Blaze and The Guardian came out and attacked Shocker and Crow!

JH: Well another good show from the WFW. The PPV is this Sunday and it should be a great one. We are out of time! I will see you Sunday for Fall Mania 99'!!
