Friday Night Rage (9/2/99)
[The screen turns black and the letters,
W...F...W slowly make their way onto the
screen. The letters explode into darkness as
the word "RAGE" can now be seen. Then, the WFW Theme begins to play, as we are taken inside the arena
where thousands of screaming fans are
standing. The camera pans the crowd and ends
at the announce table where Jumbo Hastings is sitting.]
JH: Welcome everyone to a special Friday
Night edition of RAGE!! We are live from the Saginaw Civic Center in Saginaw, MI! Tonight we have 6 matches for you including 3 Lord of the Squared Circle Tourny matches and 2 title matches! Without any more delay lets go to the action!!
#1 The Shocker vs. Johnny Gunn
(American Championship)
JH: Both men are in the ring and the bell
rings! They start out with Johnny Gunn, going after Shocker with a snap suplex followed by
a bride suplex. Gunn picks Shocker up and
sets for a piledriver but Shocker back body
drops Gunn. As Gunn is getting up, Shocker
runs into the ropes and connects with a
flying clothesline. Shocker whips Gunn into
the corner, and follows with chest chops.
Gunn falls out of the corner. Shocker picks
up Gunn and does a reverse DDT, he covers
Gunn, 1..2..Gunn grabs the ropes. Shocker
runs into the ropes, and attempts another
clothesline, but Gunn tosses Shocker to the
outside. Shocker climbs back in, but is met
with a series of kicks from Gunn. Gunn whips
Shocker into the ropes, and dropkicks him.
Gunn picks up Shocker and powerbombs him, and picks him up again and powerbombs Shocker
again. Gunn covers him, 1..2..Kickout. Gunn
yells at the ref, and whips Shocker into the
corner. Shocker charges at Gunn who moves out of the way, and Shocker hit the ref. The ref
is down, Shocker turns around, and is met by
a Dogg's Bite from Gunn!! Gunn, covers him
then relizes the ref is out. He goes over to
get the ref, and Shocker is getting up
slowly. Gunn gets the ref back up and turns
toward Shocker, who spins Gunn around and
gives him the Electric Shock, and covers
Gunn, 1..2..3! The Shocker wins!! Gunn rolls
out of the ring and walks back to the locker
rooms leaving Shocker alone in the ring
celebrating.
(Suddenly "Ice Ice Baby" blasts out over the
PA, the fans come alive and jump to their
feet. Johnny "Ice" Kool steps onto the top of the ramp way and the noise is deafening. Kool wears a stunning blue Armani suit, with white shirt, red tie and black Gucci shoes. Over
his left shoulder he carries the WFW title
belt. His long blond hair drapes down over
his shoulders, he also wears dark black
shades, he peers over the top of them in
disgust at Shocker in the ring. He takes mic
out of his pocket.)
JK:-"Well after a drab, well frankly dire
match between to extremely mediocre athletes, the Dude of Kool is here to add some
excitement to the show. I see a man in the
ring right now who is far from cool, a man
who I know bores the hell out of you people
here as he does me. You Shocker dare come out and challenge the most charismatic, the most
controversial but quite simply the greatest
entertainer in the World to a match, the main event at a pay per view. Well Shock man first off I don't know what makes you think you got what it takes to be in a main event with
yours truly, but that aside you must have one hell of a set of balls to make that
challenge, your b******s must be the size of
gratefruits that you want to step in the ring with the greatest wrestling talent...whoa
hold it, hold it i've just been informed that what i've just said is the biggest bunch of
BS, turns out your just the stupidest son of
a bitch alive!!!"
(The crowd is whipped into a frenzy. They
erupt with more louder cheers.)
JK:-"So Shock man what does this mean well
i'll be happy to kick your ass and time any
place, Sunday main event, makes no difference to me. You bring whoever you want it doesn't
make the slightest bit of difference and i'll kick both your asses. But what's this now you want JK to lower himself, degrade himself and team with someone who's not even fit to lace
JK's boots. Well like I said, Josh sign
whoever the hell you want to be my partner,
he's just got to stand there and watch in awe as "Ice" cracks the two idiots you might want to call opponants, but rest assured the Dude
of Kool's wrestling school will most
definately be in session."
(More cheers erupt from the capacity crowd.)
JK:-"You see that Shocker how they hang on my every word, it's no wonder Josh Clinton comes to me every day and says "I need you as my
champion, you carry this company and i'll
keep on paying you the dollars if you keep
winning the ratings". I sell the most
merchandise, I up the ratings and I make pay
per view buy rates soar. Why they all want
the real showman, a true flamboyant star who
they can look up to and aspire to be like and someone who wins week after week proving he's number one, not some one who just runs his
mouth without backing it up. And Kool Kats
and Kitties you all know I got the belt to
prove it. Now people have asked me "why did
you interfere in the match on Monday?" well
the fans had suffered enough watching these
amateurs wrestle so I thought i'd give them a treat. No more than that. So I helped Crow
and "Iceman" win, Hey there ain't no love
affair going on there, just as I haven't got
anything against Sniper. Now speaking of
giving the fans a treat Shocker you want to
run your mouth, You want to be a big shot,
Well tonight in that ring where your pansy
ass is standing in, it's going to be put up
or shut up time. That's right Shocker me and
you are going to get it on for the WFW title
tonight on Rage."
(The fans explode once more.)
JK:-"Hey I know you ain't as dumb as you look you i'll expect to see you at the end of the
show. Remember Shock I'm not going to lose,
why because Kool rules number 1."
("Ice Ice Baby" hits once again and Kool
makes his way back to the dressing room to
yet another huge pop.)

#2 X Kid vs. Foly
(No DQ Match)
JH: Foly makes his way out first, but X Kid
attacks him in the aisle and the match
begins! X Kid rams Foly into guardrail and
then slams him on the floor. X Kid climbs up
on the apron and jumps off onto Foly with an
Elbow Drop! X Kid rolls Foly back inside. X
Kid climbs up top. He waits for Foly to get
up and he goes for a Double Axehandle off the top, but Foly nails X Kid in the gut on the
way down! Russian Leg Sweep by Foly. Foly now starts pounding on X Kid! Foly picks up X Kid and slings him into the corner. He runs with
a clothesline in the corner. Now Foly hooks X Kid in a Tree of Woe. He rams his knee into X Kid! Foly now goes outside and throws a chair inside! Foly goes to nail X Kid with the
chair, but X Kid ducks and X Kid hits a
Hurricanrana on Foly. Kick and a DDT by X
Kid. X Kid goes up top and hits a 450 Splash! Cover by X Kid! 1, 2, kickout! X Kid goes
outside and slides a table inside the ring.
But now Foly has the chair and he nails X Kid with it! Foly now puts X Kid up top. Foly
goes for a Top Rope Powerbomb, but X Kid
backdrops Foly off the top rope onto the
table but the table does not break! X Kid
then stands up on the top rope and hits a
HUGE Frog Splash through the table on Foly!!
X Kid is not done as he picks up Foly. Wait
here comes The Universal Soldier and Johnny
Blaze! They attack both men! Blaze climbs up
top and Foly starts to get up. Blaze then
hits the Dogg Drop on Foly!! Meanwhile
Soldier hits the Atom Bomb on X Kid!! Then
they leave! Then Rick Youngblood runs out
with a chair and he nails Foly with it! Then
Youngblood goes out on the apron. X Kid
starts to get up, but Youngblood nails X Kid
with a Spear springboarding off the ropes!
Youngblood then puts X Kid on top of Foly! 1, 2, 3!! X Kid wins!!! Now Youngblood has a
mic!
RY: "You two wannabe hardcore punks and me
triple threat Hell-in-a-cell, tack match at
the PPV. Be there or I will see to it that
your both put on the injured list!"
JH: Youngblood then leaves both men laying in the ring.
[Commercial...]
{The lights go out, all that is scene is fire from the ring post and thunder can be heard,
and a lightning bolts hit all over the ring
and entrance way and suddenly a man with a
deep voice starts to speak}
?????: I am here...tonight...you don't know
who I am but soon you will, there is someone
who will feel my wrath and learn a lesson and will find out what his future will be like
while I'm around and let it be a warning to
eveyrone else what happens to him...ha ha ha
ha ha!!!!
{The lights come back on and everyone is in
shock as to what just happend]

#3 Daredevil vs. Berringer
(Lord of the Squared Circle Match)
JH: The next match is Daredevil vs.
Berringer. Both men are in the ring, and
Berringer runs at Devil and Devil dropkicks
Berringer. Devil picks up Berringer and goes
for a powerbomb, but Berringer reverses it
into a hurricanrana. Berringer whips
Daredevil into the ropes and back body drops
him to the outside. Berringer attempts a
suicide dive, but Daredevil moves out of the
way, and Berringer hits the guardrail.
Daredevil throws Berringer into the steel
steps. Tthe ref is counting and he's at 5.
Daredevil rolls Berringer into the ring, and
covers him, 1..2..Kickout by Berringer.
Daredevil gets up and is yelling at the ref,
while Berringer is slowly getting up.
Berringer gets behind Daredevil. Daredevil
turns around and Berringer DDTs him, and
covers him, 1..2..Kickout. Berringer picks up Daredevil and powerbombs him. Berringer goes
to the top rope, and goes for a splash, and
connects with it. he pins Devil,
1..2..Kickout. Berringer whips Devil into the ropes, and goes for a clothesline, and
Daredevil ducks, and spears Berringer.
Daredevil is punching Berringer like crazy.
Berringer rolls over and starts punching
Daredevil. Wait Pinhead comes out with a
chair now! But behind him is Joe Jackson and
the Mean Street Posse with baseball bats!
Jackson tells the Posse to get him! The Posse runs to the ring while Jackson attacks
Pinhead from behind! The Posse run in and
nail Berringer right in front of the ref! The ref calls for the bell! Berringer wins by
DQ!! Berringer advances in the Lord of the
Squared Circle Tourny! Daredevil is PISSED
now! Jackson grabs a mic now!
Joe Jackson: Daredevil Ya just don't mess
with me! Berringer I just saved your @$$ and
your lucky you were in the right match at the right time!
JH: Daredevil now goes crazy and he goes
after the Posse and Jackson! The Posse and
Jackson outnumber and beat down Daredevil as
officials come out to break it up!
[Commercial...]
#4 Crow vs. Da Man
(Lord of the Squared Circle Match)
JH: Da Man comes out first with his manager,
Myth. Then Crow comes out. The bell rings and here we go! They lock up. Headlock by Da Man. Da Man turns that into a Bulldog. Da Man now
applies a Camel Clutch, but Criw grabs the
ropes! Da Man picks up Crow and puts him up
top now. Da Man climbs up and hits a
Superplex. Da Man now picks up Crow again.
Now Da Man goes over to the ref to ask him
something. While the ref is distracted, Myth
comes in and nails Crow with a Suplex into a
Piledriver! Then he jumps outside. Da Man now picks up Crow again and goes for a Snow Plow, but Crow falls behind Da Man and he hits a Powerslam! Crow then hits an Asai Moonsault
on Da Man. Piledriver by Crow. Cover by Crow! 1, 2, Kickout! Crow picks up Da Man and hits
a Russian Leg Sweep. Crow goes up top. He
waits for Da Man to get up. Wait Myth grabs
the foot of Crow. Crow looks down at Myth and then jumps off the top rope towards Da Man,
but Da Man had time to move by that time! Da
Man now stomps on Crow. DDT by Da Man. Da Man now puts Crow up top. Da Man climbs up. It
looks like he is going for a Top Rope
Powerbomb, but he is too busy playing to the
crowd. This gives Crow time to recover and
Crow backdrops Da Man! Myth tries to jump up
on the apron and stop Crow, but Crow kicks
him down! Crow then nails Da Man with the
Crow's Flight! Then the lights go out and
when they come back on Crow is out! Da Man
crawls over and covers Crow! 1, 2, KICKOUT!
Now The Shocker comes out with a referee
shirt on! He drags the ref outside the ring
and knocks him out! Crow and Da Man both get
up at the same time. Crow turns around to see Shocker. Da Man then rolls up Crow! Shocker
jumps into the ring and counts 1, 2, 3!! Da
Man wins!!! Shocker quickly leaves the ring!
Crow runs after him! Da Man will advance in
the Lord of the Squared Circle Tourny!! We
will be right back!

#5 Iceman Jason McGrew vs. JaKaL
(Lord of the Squared Circle Match)
JH: Both men are in the ring and here we go! They punch it out! Drop Kick by JaKaL.
Hurricanrana by JaKaL. Suplex by JaKaL. Leg Drop by JaKaL. JaKaL picks up Iceman.
JakaL slings Iceman into the corner, but Iceman comes off with a Lou Thez Press.
German Suplex by Iceman. Double-Arm Suplex by Iceman. Side Walk Slam by Iceman. Piledriver attempt by Iceman but JaKaL gets a Back body Drop on Iceman. Iceman's feet hit the ref. The ref is down! JaKaL slides outside and tosses in a ladder. JaKaL sets up the ladder and goes after Iceman. Iceman fights back. Iceman slings JaKaL into the corner and charges in, but JaKaL elbows Iceman. Spinning Heel Kick by JaKaL. JaKaL slings Iceman towards the ladder, Icemn reverses BAM JaKaL hits the ladder hard! Iceman sets up the Ladder, JaKaL trips and knocks it over. Iceman flips over the ropes. JaKaL grabs the kendo stick he brought with him. Iceman gets back in, JaKaL swings and misses. Kick and an Ice Cold Stunner by Iceman!! Iceman covers but the ref is still down. Iceman goes to help him, JaKaL gets up he has the Kendo Stick, He leans at the ropes and charges into the back of Icemans Knee. JaKaL picks Iceman up as the ref gets up a little. JaKaL picks up Iceman and nails him with a Fisherman's Suplex.. The ref counts 1..2..3!! JaKaL wins!!! He pulls off an upset and advances in the Master of the Mat Tourny!! Wait JaKaL stands up and he is calling for a mic.
JaKaL: "I just beat the Legend."
JH: JaKaL then leaves victorious as Iceman leaves mad! We will be right back!
[Commercial...]
[Iceman Jason McGrew has just come back to
his locker room after his loss. His wife,
Angela, tries to console him, but Iceman just yells at her to leave him alone! She
continues to talk to Iceman, but Iceman just
gets madder and madder and he starts throwing things! Angela starts to cry and Iceman
storms out of his locker room! The cameras go back to the ring.]
#6 Pinhead vs. Joe Jackson
(Intercontinental Championship/Hell in a
Cell)
JH: Pinhead and Jackson have both made their
way into the cell and we are ready to start!
The bell rings and both men let fists fly!
Knee to gut by Pinhead. Swinging Neckbreaker by Pinhead. Pinhead starts to stomp on the
neck of Jackson! Elbow Drop to the neck of
Jackson by Pinhead. Pinhead throws Jackson
outside. Pinhead goes to ram Jackson into the cell, but Jackson elbows Pinhead and rams
Pinhead into the cell! Jackson then slung
Pinhead into the steel steps! Jackson now
grabs a chair and nails Pinhead with it!
Jackson rolls Pinhead back inside and Jackson gets inside. Jackson then kicks Pinhead and
hits a DDT. Leg Drop by Jackson. Jackson
picks up Pinhead and whips him into the
corner. Jackson runs into the corner, but
Pinhead back elbows Jackson! Pinhead then
clotheslines Jackson. Slam and a Leg Drop by
Pinhead. Pinhead goes up top. He then jumps
off with a Knee Drop from the top to the neck of Jackson! Pinhead now applies a Camel
Clutch! But Jackson grabs the ropes! Pinhead
goes outside and throws the chair inside.
Then he grabs a table and slides that inside. Pinhead then Piledrives Jackson onto the
chair! He sets up the table and puts Jackson
on top of it. Pinhead climbs to the top rope
and goes for a Moonsault, but Jackson moves
out of the way and Pinhead goes through the
table!! Jackson gets up and nails Pinhead
with the chair busting him wide open!
Daredevil then comes running down to the
ring! He tries to interfer, but the cell
keeps him out. Right behind him, the Mean
Street Posse run down and attack Daredevil!
Jackson had been distracted by Daredevil
trying to get inside the cell. This gave time for Pinhead to recover and lowblow Jackson!
Pinhead then nails Jackson with the chair
busting him open! Pinhead now goes outside
and grabs another table and slides it inside. Pinhead sets it up. This time Pinhead puts
Jackson up top. Pinhead climbs up and he goes for the Pin Drop through the table, but
Jackson nails Pinhead and picks up Pinhead
and drives Pinhead through the table with a
Spinebuster!! Both men are hurt but Jackson
is on top of Pinhead! The ref counts 1, 2,
3!! Joe Jackson is the NEW IC Champion!!!
What a match that was! But up next is the
impromtu World Title match! We will be right
back!

#7 Johnny Kool vs. The Shocker
(World Championship)
JH: This match was just made a hour ago. It should be a good one. Shocker comes out first. Then "Ice Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice plays over the PA and Johnny Kool comes out. As soon as Kool stepped into the ring, Shocker attacked him and the match began! Shocker pounded on Kool, but Kool came back and pounded on Shocker! Kool then hit a knee lift to the gut of Shocker. Back Suplex by Kool. Kool then threw Shocker outside the ring. Kool rams Shocker into the guradrail! Kool picks up a chair and tries to nail Shocker with it, but Shocker ducks! Shocker kicks Kool and slings him into the steps! Shocker rolls Kool back inside then grabs the ring bell. Shocker gets back inside and nails Kool with the bell! It appears like the ref has decided to let things go! Shocker now stomps on Kool. Backbreaker by Shocker. Leg Drop by Shocker. Powerbomb by Shocker. Shocker now goes outside and grabs a chair. He brings it inside and tries to nail Kool with it, but Kool kicks him and grabs the chair. Kool then nails Shocker with the chair! DDT by Kool. Bulldog by Kool. Fallaway Slam by Kool. Shocker rolls outside. Kool goes after him. Kool goes to pick up Shocker, but Shocker lowblows Kool! Shocker then hits a Pedigree on the floor! Shocker rolls Kool back inside. Shocker then goes for the Electric Shock, but Kool grabs onto the ropes and Shocker hits the mat! Kool then goes for the Ice Drop, but Shocker backdrops Kool to the outside! Shocker goes after Kool outside both men start punching it out! Shocker hits a Clothesline on Kool that send both men over the guardrail into the crowd! Both men continue to fight throughout the crowd and into the backstage area! The bell rings and the ref has thrown this match out! This match is a No Contest!! But both men continue to go at it in the back until officials break things up! Folks we are out of time! We will see you Sunday for the Lord of the Squared Circle only on Pay-Per-View!!
