Thursday Night Rage (8/26/99)
[The screen turns black and the letters,
W...F...W slowly make their way onto the
screen. The letters explode into darkness as
the word "RAGE" can now be seen. Then, the WFW Theme begins
to play, as we are taken inside the arena
where thousands of screaming fans are
standing. The camera pans the crowd and ends
at the announce table where Jumbo Hastings
and Phil Smith are sitting. Before the
announcers have time to speak "Ice Ice Baby"
by Vanilla Ice blasts out over the PA. The
fans go wild and video clips of the World
Champion are shown on the Mastertron. Johnny
Kool steps out onto the ramp way, the pop
gets even bigger. Kool punches his fist into
the air acknowledging the crowd, he wears a
pair of Khaki trousers with black Gucci
shoes. He has a bright blue shirt which is
unbuttoned his chest is clean shaven. He
wears a pair of shades with gold rim, his
once black hair is now, what looks to be a
natural blond and is much straighter. A
couple on inches longer too, tied back in a
ponytail. He holds the WFW title belt over
his left shoulder. On his wrist he wears a
gold rolex. He struts his way down the aisle,
climbs up the ring steps into the ring.
Johnny Bravo hands him the mic which he holds
to his mouth, the music dies down but the
crowds chants interupt him.]
Crowd:-"Razor!!,Razor!!,Razor!!"
JK:-"Hey Chico's."(He says with a wry smile
on his face.)"Now just incase nobody has told
you yet, you can't say the "R" word. But
that's OK because for Johnny Kool the break
has enabled me to take more creative control
over my future here in WFW. Gone are the
toothpicks, the cheap tacky outfits, the
crappy Puerto Rican accents and certainly no
more stupid haircuts. Yes this is my real
color. Now you get to see the real Johnny
Kool, a well educated man, with class. To put
it frankly i'd had enough of those front
office idiots, and Josh you got a problem
with that you know where to stick it."
[That brings a huge reaction from the crowd.]
JK:-"You Kool Kats & Kitties have been great
to me and that's not something I quickly
forget. So thankyou. And it's great to back
here in the WFW. But approaching this first
card JK has been asked many questions. People
wonder what I have to prove here in WFW and
quite frankly I don't need to be here. I've
won everything but I just realize how boring
all of your lives would be without your hero,
the man you love and cheer onto victory week
after week. There aren't words to describe
how important I am to this company, icon just
doesn't cut it. You just wouldn't believe how
much money Josh is paying me to be here, all
those guys in the back would just be so
jealous, but the WFW just couldn't be without
my talent."
JK:-"So what are your plans? I here you ask.
Well "Ice" is playing it cool, I haven't got
to rush out and defend this title, i'm just
surveying the opposition. Jason McGrew says
he'd like a shot, well Jase your gonna have
to earn your shot with the real "Iceman". And
it doesn't matter whether it's McGrew,
Shocker, Soldier Syxx, they're all another
tick in the win column for JK. I got a month
to defend this belt so I ain't sweating, all
those losers in the back need to prove
themselves, not me. And whoever the number 1
contender may be, well they're gonna get
taken out it's that simple."
JK:-"Now whilst all these losers fight in
such an insignificant tournament, i'll be
watching from the back drinking the finest
champagne, with the hottest honies. Lord of
the squared circle, haha!! I'm the Lord and
master of the squared circle and very soon
the the Dude of Kool's wrestling school will
be in session. Because i'm the best are your
not and i've got belt to prove it."
[The music hits again and JK receives the
accolades from the capacity crowd. He makes
his way to the announcers table where he
grabs a bottle of water before making his way
back up the entrance way. The cameras now
turn to the announce table.]
JH: Welcome everyone to Thursday Night Rage!!
The WFW is back and we are live from the Bing
Theatre in Indian Orchard, MA!!! We are set
for a great night of action! Tell them Phil!
PS: It is great to be back! But it is even
better for all the fans to see my handsome
face once again! And tonight we will have the
First Round of the tourny to crown the WFW
Lord of Squared Circle!! So without any more
delay lets get to the action!
#1 Crow, The Shocker, and Da Man vs. Heavy
Metal Kid, The Ring Master, and Foly
JH: Well this should be interesting. A team
full of champions and a team with 2 rookies
and Heavy Metal Kid.
PS: I would say Crow, Shocker, and Da Man
have a HUGE advantage here! But lets see if
they can win though.
JH: All 6 men have made their way to the ring
and Shocker and Ring Master start us off.
Ring Master starts off with a Headock and a
Shoulder Block. Ring Master picks up Shocker
and goes for a Suplex, but Shocker blocks it
and hits Suplex of his own.
PS: Shocker now stomps away at Ring Master.
Foly runs in, but Shocker clotheslines him
down! Shocker tags out to Da Man. Ring Master
tags in Foly.
JH: Da Man runs in and nearly takes off
Foly's head with a clothesline! Da Man now
continues the assault! Belly-to-Belly Suplex
by Da Man. Leg Drop by Da Man. Powerbomb by
Da Man. Da Man now tags in Crow. Crow goes to
pick up Foly, but Foly lowblows him!
PS: Foly now tags in Heavy Metal Kid. HMK
hits a German Suplex on Crow. Wait Shocker
comes in and nails HMK. Da Man runs over and
nails Ring Master on the apron!
JH: Foly and Da Man now fight on the outside!
Da Man slings Foly right into the steel
steps! Inside the ring Shocker hits the
Electric Shock on Ring Master!!
PS: Heavy Metal Kid is up and he attacks
Shocker from behind. But Crow grabs HMK and
hits a Back Suplex.
JH: Piledriver by Crow on HMK. Neckbreaker by
Crow. Powerbomb by Crow. Crow now laying the
boots into HMK. He picks him up and hits a
Bloodflow DDT! But Crow does not go for a
cover!
PS: Crow picks up Heavy Metal Kid and hits
another Bloodflow DDT!! Crow covers HMK for
the 1, 2, 3! Crow, Shocker, and Da Man win
and they all advance to the next round of the
tourny!!
JH: Well just like it was expected, the team
full of champions dominated the match!
PS: Just like I TOLD YOU SO!
JH: Anyways it looks like we are ready for
our next match now. So lets go to it!
#2 Psycho, Jakal, and Daredevil vs. Johnny
Gunn, Da Killaman, and Garret Bannon
JH: This next Six Man match plans to be
exciting, and both teams are out.
PS: Enough Blab, Johnny Gunn and Psycho lock
up. Johnny Gunn has him in an armlock and
chops his elbow. Yeeoow!
JH: Johnny Gunn sets him up, DDT by Johhny
Gunn. Fame-asser by Johhny Gunn. Leg Drop by
Johnny Gunn. Gunn makes the tag to Da
Killaman. Da Killaman starts to stomp on
Psycho.
PS: Killaman goes for a Belly-to-Belly
Suplex, but Psycho blocks it and hits a
Suplex of his own!
JH: Psycho tags out to Jakal. Jakal goes to
work on Da Killaman with some martial arts
kicks. Hurricanrana by Jakal. Super Kick by
Jakal. Bannon comes in and nails Jakal with a
clothesline.
PS: Wait Daredevil runs in and clotheslines
Bannon outside! Daredevil then gets back in
his corner and Jakal tags him in!
JH: Bannon pulls Jakal outside with him and
they fight outside! Da Killaman has tagged in
Gunn by this time. Gunn runs in and misses a
clothesline. Daredevil kicks Gunn and hits a
DDT!
PS: Daredevil puts Gunn on the top rope and
climbs up. The Devil's Call by Daredevil on
Gunn!! Daredevil goes over and nails Da
Killaman!
JH: Psycho gets in and picks up Gunn. He hits
the Kiss of the Death!! Cover by Psycho! 1,
2, 3!! Psycho, Jakal, and Daredevil win and
they all advance to the next round! We hear
something is going on backstage!
[The cameras cut backstage where Iceman Jason
McGrew and his wife, Angela are arguing about
something! Iceman is screaming at Angela and
Angela is crying! Iceman then waves his hands
in disgust and storms off towards the ring
leaving Angela left crying.]
#3 Iceman Jason McGrew, Sniper, and Berringer
vs. Panther, New York Assassin, and Duncan
MacCloud
JH: Ladies and Gentlemen, the team of Iceman
Jason McGrew, Sniper, and Berringer come out
to the arena. The team of Panther, New York
Assassin, and Duncan MacCloud rush them from
behind and the bell rings. Panther takes
Jason McGrew to the ring and tosses him in,
it looks like they'll be starting the match.
PS: zzzzzz
JH: Wake up, act like a professional!
PS: Yawn. Im not used to these hours Jumbo.
The other four men are brawling it out
outside, and here comes the FWA security,
things are being straightened out!
JH: Well anyways, ooooooh! Turnbuckle smash
by Panther. Panther now has Iceman down on
the ring post, and is stomping him senseless.
The Ref pulls Panther away from Jason.
PS: Panther backs off, and goes to continue
the assault, Jason's up. Wham! Flying
Clothesline by McGrew. That'll give Panther a
black eye!
JH: McGrew tags in Berringer. Berringer picks
Panther up by his hair, and sets him up for a
vertical suplex.
PS: Berringer sends Panther smack into the
mat! Berringer now locks him with a rear chin
lock. That'll do wonders to his neck!
JH: Berringer is not letting up with the
hold, wait, Panther is standing up, but
Berringer stops the momentum with an Double
Axehandle into his skull!
PS: Panther is once again in a chinlock.
Panther is getting up again, wait, Panther
tosses Berringer over his shoulders , sending
him smack in the middle of the mat!
JH: Panther makes the tag to Duncan MacCloud.
MacCloud continues the momentum. Knee Drop by
MacCloud. Slingshot Suplex by MacCloud. Irish
Whip by MacCloud, and he followed up with an
atomic drop!
PS: MacCloud is cleaning house. He now has
Berringer in a camel clutch. Berringer is
struggling to get out! Sniper runs in to stop
the hold. Snipers now stomping on MacCloud,
the ref sends Sniper out.
JH: Berringer gets up and makes the tag to
Sniper, MacCloud is now up. Sniper gets into
the ring only to be met with a Drop Toe Hold
from Duncan.
PS: Drop Kick by Duncan. Sniper falls to his
corner and tags in Iceman Jason McGrew.
Iceman and Duncan exchange blows! Iceman gets
the advantage.
JH: Duncan goes to his corner and asks for a
tag. Wait the New York Assassin jumps off the
apron and walks away! He is going to the
back!
PS: I think New York Assassin just said he
QUIT! WHAT THE HELL?!?! This leaves Duncan
and Panther at a disadvantage!
JH: Duncan is shocked! But Iceman takes
advantage of this and hit a Ice Cold Stunner
on Duncan!! Panther is in to stop the count!
PS: Panther whips Iceman into the ropes and
knees him in the gut. Panther goes for Da
Bomb, but Berringer runs in and clotheslines
Panther. Duncan is back up and he nails
Berringer.
JH: Duncan holds onto Berringer. Panther is
up and he tries to nail Berringer, but
Berringer ducks and Panther hits Duncan!
Iceman spins Panther around and hits an Ice
Cold Stunner on Panther!!
PS: Cover by Iceman! 1, 2, 3!! Iceman Jason
McGrew, Berringer, and Sniper win and they
all advance to the next round in the tourny!
JH: Wait Duncan tries to help up Panther, but
Panther nails Duncan and starts stomping on
him! He then walks off mad!
PS: Well officials have come down to help
Duncan back from the attack. So lets go to
our final match of the night. It should be
great!
#4 Pinhead, Joe Jackson, and Confucius vs. X
Kid, Havok, and Universal Soldier
JH: This should be interesting. We have a
team full of champions and former champions
and a team of 2 newcomers and a new look X
Kid.
PS: I would have to say that veterans to the
WFW have the advantage here.
JH: Havok, Universal Soldier, and X Kid come
out first. Pinhead, Jackson, and Confucius
come out next. All 6 men start off punching
it out!
PS: This is WILD from the start! X Kid and
Pinhead pair off while Jackson and Havok
fight and Confucius and Soldier fight!
JH: Jackson kicks Havok and hits the Jackson
Jam Slam!! Meanwhile Soldier misses a
clothesline on Confucius. Confucius kicks
Soldier and hits The Omen!!
PS: X Kid has gotten the advantage on
Pinhead, but both of his team mates are down.
X Kid set up Pinhead for an X Bomb, but
Jackson and Confucius nail X Kid from behind!
JH: Confucius powerbombs X Kid! Jackson gives
him a DDT! Jackson and Confucius then put X
Kid up top. Pinhead climbs up top and he hits
the Pin Drop!! Cover by Pinhead! 1, 2, 3!!
Pinhead, Joe Jackson, and Confucius win and
they advance to the next round!
PS: X Kid gave it all he had, but his
partners gave him no help and he lost just
like I said they would!
JH: Folks we are out of time! We will see you
Sunday with the next round in the tourny to
crown the Lord of the Squared Circle!!
