Thursday Night Rage (4/29/99)
[The screen turns black and the letters,
W...F...W slowly make their way onto the
screen. The letters explode into darkness as
the word "RAGE" can now be seen. Then, the WFW Theme begins to play, as we are taken inside the arena
where thousands of screaming fans are
standing. The camera pans the crowd and ends
at the announce table where Jumbo Hastings is sitting.]
JH: Welcome to Thursday Night Rage!! We are
live from the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, PA!! Tonight we have 6 matches for you!! Lets go to...Wait!
[The lights go out and Wolf howls are heard over the PA. A dark, mysterious voice will be heard whispering.
"When you attempt to take a man souls, he will return with fire in his heart. Seeking vengeance, longing for revenge. He is coming and this time he is not alone he runs with a pac. It is time for the WFW to find out who really is the bad guy. He will show no mercy and take no pity on the weak, he will strike unexpectedly and he will ooze machismo. A crucifiction could not keep him down and now he is coming to reap wayward souls."
More howling is heard along with screams over the PA. The crowd goes silent in shock.]
JH: What was that?!?! Lets go to Kevin Ham in the ring!
(Kevin Ham is standing in the ring when the arena goes dark. Then the funeral music begins to play and the arena turns blood red as the Lord of Darkness walks out. He slowly makes his way to the ring,gets in and the interview begins.)
Ham:Ok Lord you took the night off but on Sunday you will face Sniper. What are your thoughts about that?
LOD:Well i will get to that in a second,but first i need to do something. What i want is for Apoccalypse to come down here.
(Apoccalypse walks down the aisle and gets in the ring.)
LOD:Now,i hear that you wanna join my Ministry of Darkness is that right.
Apoccalypse:Yeah thats right.
LOD:Ok. Well then i must do this to you.
(The Lord then pulls something out of his pocket and light's it on fire. He then throws it into the face of Apoccalypse. Apoccalypse then falls to the ground screaming in pain. Ham looks on in horror.)
LOD:Hey you wanted in so you had to pay the price. Now you will follow the Lord on his journey. You are now apart of the ministry.
Ham:You are one sick human being. Well lets forget about this and move on to Sniper. You are facing him on Sunday. What are your thoughts about him?
LOD:Well,Sniper you just saw what i did to this man. He wanted to come over to the Darkside so i had to burn him. Well dont you even think for a second that when we step into the ring on Sunday that i wont do that to you.
Ham:Well you have wrestled Sniper's good friends in Johnny Gunn and Panther. You have never wrestled Sniper. Do you think that you can beat him?
LOD:HELL Yes I KNOW i can beat him. And on Sunday we are not gonna fight in a regular match. We are gonna fight in a Graveyard match.
Ham:What is a graveyard match?
LOD: Well it is very simple. Why all the other matches will take place at the arena, our match wont. It will take place at a nearby graveyard. And the only way to win the match is to pin your opponent in a grave. Not bury but pin. So Sniper, when Sunday rolls around your ass will end up in a grave one way or another.
Ham: Thank you for this interview. Ladies and gentlemen i present to you the Lord of Darkness!
(The lights go out as the fans are screaming and when they come back on the Lord is gone.)
JH: Well lets go to our first...Wait a minute, we hear something is going on backstage!
[Lord of Darkness has now appeared backstage after his interview. Wait out of nowhere Panther hits LOD with a fireball! Then Gunn and Sniper come out and attack LOD with pipes! X-Paq then throws LOD into a dumpster and then they lock it!]
JH: Well X-Paq got their payback to LOD! Now lets go to...Wait no what?! We have to go to the back again!
[Johnny Gunn is walking in the back to his locker room after the attack. Panther and Sniper are already in the locker room. Wait Lightning Kid comes up behind him & punches him. Then Kid grabs a chair & hits him in his back! Kid picks him up and throws him into a coke machine! The machine busts open, & Coke flies everywhere! Kid grabs one, and hits it on Gunn's head! Then Kid throws Gunn on top of a table! Kid then climbs another Coke machine and jumps onto Gunn! Kid then picks up Gunn & gives him a Lightning Bolt onto a piece of the table!]
JH: WOW! We have had a full night already and we have not gone to our first match yet! Lets go now!
#1 Nick Castle .v. WC: The Great Milenko
(Ring of Fire Match)
JH: I am joined by Chris Michaels a.k.a. Doom. He will be doing some commentating along side me for tonight. Our first match is a Ring of Fire Match between Nick Castle and Great Milenko.
CM: It's gonna be a hot one. They start it off with punches to each other.
JH: Suplex by Great Milenko. Powerbomb by Great Milenko. Great Milenko gets on top of him and punches him.
CM: Castle is having some offense. Headlock by Castle. Bulldog by Castle. DDT by Castle. He goes for a powerbomb but Great Milenko reverses it into a piledriver.
JH: Scoop slam by Great Milenko. He calls for the Great Milenko, but Low-Blow by Nick Castle. DDT by Castle. Dragon Suplex by Castle. Elbow drop by Castle.
CM: Alot of good offense my Castle. Piledriver by Castle. But Great Milenko is coming back with kicks to the midsection. Snap suplex by Great Milenko. Belly-to-belly suplex by Great Milenko. He calls for the Great Milinko and delivers it.
JH: Great Milenko picks up Nick Castle, but he doesn't have him balanced right, and Castle falls to the mat. Great Milenko picks him up again.
CM: Wait Psycho, Lightning Kid, and Heavy Metal Kid come down to the ring and knock out the ref outside with bats! Then they try to jump inside, but the fire stops them!
JH: Wait Castle throws Milenko into the fire, but the ref is out! Psycho, HMK, and Kid put the fire out and help up Milenko. They then take him to the back!
CM: Looks like this match is a No Contest!! But that signalled the new stable that Lightning Kid, Heavy Metal Kid, and Milenko are in called the Wrecking Crew!
JH: I understand we're supposed to have an interview with The Masked Murder right now, but we appear to be having some technical difficulties. Wait we're getting a picture now.
The screen comes into a shot of an unconscience Masked Murder and the man seen last week perched over him the man looks up.
JH: That's the man we saw on Sunday.
???: So you lay here representing the evil of cold blooded killing. I make it my business to eliminate anyone who thinks they are above others, my name is Trent Walker. All are created equal, and no one is an exception. I feel all should live by a code of morals.
Trent gets off of Murder.
Trent: Murder, I have nothing against you as a person so much as what you are as a symbol of. I represent that which is good, and the embodiment of tradition. Tonight I am in rare form. It is a rare occurence for me to show aggression without being provoked. But I needed to make my point. I know Masked Murder understood my point. I hope the rest of you who spit on tradition see what has happened to this man and you quake with fear. All aggressions will be taken out in the ring.
He looks down at the Murder.
Trent: I suppose he'll want revenge. As he should, that's all anyone knows anymore. I will be looking through the roster of wrestlers this place has to offer. From what I see I shall see if there are any wrestlers I feel uphold the tradition, but the rest of you should fear me, but fear the Polaris more.
Trent walks away as the camera goes back to the Masked Murder.
JH: That was unexpected.
[The cameras pan across the arena until they reach Razor Ramon! He is walking into the arena wearing all black, t-shirt, jeans, leather boots and leather jacket with dark shades. He has a black baseball cap and his hair tied back in a ponytail. He also has a
2X4 in his left hand and is IC Title in his right. Then the cameras fade back to Jumbo.]
JH: MY GOD! Razor Ramon is BACK!!! I can not believe this! We have 1 match so far and I about to have a heart attack! Lets go to the ring again!
#2 Iceman Jason McGrew .v. Joe Jackson
(Barbwire Match)
JH: Okay, this is going to be a very painful match. The ropes have been substituted for barbwire. Well, both of the participants are in the ring and theres the bell. Here we go, Iceman successfully attacks Jackson.
CM: Now, he's pounding away on Jackson. Kicks and punches. Now, he picks him up and sends him to the rope.... but Jackson slides under it to the outside. Now, he's taking a breather.
JH: But, look Iceman flys right over the ropes and onto Jackson. They both go crashing into the guardrail. But, now Iceman is up and he tosses Jackson into the ring. Now he slides in too, but he's met with kicks from Jackson. Now, Jackson picks him up and he slams him to the mat. Now kicks again, and he goes for a pin. 1....2....NO. Kickout by Iceman.
CM: Now, Jackson is up again and he brings Iceman with him now, he suplexs him into the center of the ring. Picks him up again and he kicks him to the stomach and he gives him a powerbomb. Now, he's kicking away. Now, he picks him up and sends him to the ropes. But NO.
JH: Iceman reverses it and sends Jackson right into the barbwire. OH MY. Jackson's back is all cut up now. Now, Iceman trys to jump on him, but NO. Jackson moves and Iceman lands right on the barbwire. ON NO. Now he's bleeding too! This is horrible! Wait the Lord of Darkness runs down to the ring, but Mankind stops him from behind! They fight!
CM: Jackson picks up McGrew. Wait out of nowhere Iceman hits the Ice Cold Stunner!! 1, 2, 3!! Iceman wins!! What a BLOODY match!
#3 X-Paq: Sniper .v. Confucious .v. WC: Lightning Kid
(Lightweight Championship/Triple Threat Match)
JH: Well, all three men are in the ring now. There's the bell and here we go. Sniper and Lightning Kid attack Confucious. Kid and Sniper are taking the advantage, beating their opponent down to the mat and pounding on himm.
CM: But, now Kid jumps over and he kicks Sniper to the stomach, now he suplexs him. Now, Kid pounding on him. Confucious is up and he attacks Kid! Now Confucious is kicking on him. Now he lifts him up and sends him into the ropes, and running lariat. Now, Confucious has Kid on the top rope and he does an amazing superplex. He's getting up now, but Sniper from behind gets him in a neckbreaker.
JH: Now, Sniper goes for the pin on him. 1...2....NO! Now, Sniper is attacking Kid, he chock-slams him into the mat. Now, Sniper is kicking him and Confucious is back up and attacks Sniper. Confucious gets him with a DDT. Now, he goes for the pin on Sniper but, it's only a one count! Now, Kid is up and he gets Confucious in an arm bar, but Confucious breaks free and he kicks Sniper to the groin area!
CM: Get's him in a small package! Kid breaks the count! The Lord of Darkness comes running to the ring, but Panther and Gunn attack him from behind! Wait here comes Psycho and Heavy Metal Kid!
JH: Panther and Gunn fight with them! Panther and Gunn gets the advantage! Gunn grabs a bat and hits the ref! Then he hits Kid!
CM: The fights continues outside! The ref is revived and among the confusion outide Confucious has rolled up Sniper! 1, 2, 3!! Confucious is the NEW Lightweight Champion!
JH: Psycho and HMK drag Kid outside the ring and back to the back!
#4 Psycho .v. Garret Bannon
(American Championship)
JH: Psycho and Bannon are both in the ring! The bell rings and they lock up! Wait the lights go out!
CM: When they come back on! Bannon is on top of Psycho! The ref counts 1, 2, 3!! Bannon is the NEW American Champion!
JH: Look on the mat, the words "I'm Back!!" are written in spraypaint! Who is back though?!?!?!
#5 Jakal .v. Crow .v. Joe Jackson .v. Mikey Shipwreck .v. Iceman Jason McGrew .v. Psycho .v. The Great Milenko .v. Sniper .v. Panther .v. Johnny Gunn .v. Heavy Metal Kid .v. The Demon .v. Scribe
(Hardcore Championship/Weapons Battle Royal)
JH: Jakal has not shown up yet and Shipwreck came down with a wheelburrow full of weapons! Wait now Crow has jumped through the ropes and goes backstage.
CM: He comes back with a dumpster full of weapons! Inside Iceman has a bat and nails Scribe and dumps him outside. Crow nails HMK with a chair and throws him out!
JH: Shipwreck nails Sniper with a sledgehammer! And dumps him out! Shipwreck squirts Panther in the eyes with water and clotheslines him outside! Iceman then clotheslines Gunn out!
CM: Crow nails Milenko with a bat and dumps him out! Wait here comes Ramon with a 2X4!
JH: Ramon jumps into the ring and nails The Demon with the board!! Ramon throws Demon outside the ring! Then Ramon leaves through the crowd!
CM: Wait suddenly Iceman gets nailed by a TV, bat, and a chair at the same time from all sides! Iceman rolls under the bottom rope to the outside!
JH: Jackson and Shipwreck fight near the ropes! Crow comes up from behind and dumps both over!
CM: That leaves Crow, Psycho, and Iceman left! Wait here comes Jakal! He is still in too!
JH: He picks up a kitchen sink and nails Psycho with it! Crow and Jakal dump him out! Iceman then crawl back inside and tries to sneak up on Jakal and Crow, but they see him!
CM: Wait Jakal hits a Body Press near the ropes on Iceman and both go outside! Crow wins!!
JH: Crow is the NEW Hardcore Champion! Jakal jumps back in the ring and raises his hand! These two will team Sunday for the Tag Titles!
CM: Little bit of teamwork here!
#6 Maurice Bromell .v. Soldier Syxx
(World Championship/Tower of Doom Match)
JH: Ok let explain this match. 3 cages are stacked on top of each other. Both wrestlers start in the bottom cage. They proceed up through the trap doors until they get to the top cage, where the title hangs from the cage. Then the first person to get the title wins!
CM: That is right and we are also joined at ringside by Shocker.
S: I decided I would come down here and watch this great match.
JH: Alright here we go! Drop Kick by Syxx to start. Hurricanrana onto the floor by Syxx. Belly-to-Belly Suplex by Syxx.
CM: Syxx rams Bromell into the cage! Spinning Heel Kick by Syxx. Syxx starts to climb the cage and up to the door. He opens the door.
S: Syxx is almost out! Wait Bromell jumps up and grabs his foot!
JH: Bromell pounds on Syxx and pulls him down! Atomic Drop by Bromell. Samoan Drop by Bromell. Leg Drop by Bromell.
CM: Bromell sends Syxx into the cage and hits a Splash against the cage! Bromell climbs up and climbs through the door!
S: Syxx gets up and sees Bromell. Wait Bromell is trying to get to the top cage, but Syxx has climbed through the door and grabbed Bromell.
JH: Bromell pounds on Syxx. Choke Slam onto the cage by Bromell! DDT onto the cage by Bromell! Bromell grabs Syxx and goes to ram him into the cage, but Syxx elbows him and rams Bromell into the cage!
CM: Facebuster onto the cage by Syxx! Leg Drop by Syxx. Syxx climbs up the cage and hits a Missile Drop Kick to Bromell.
S: Syxx pounds away at Bromell. Wait Syxx climbs up the cage and climbs through the door to the top!
JH: Wait Syxx grabs the ladder and sets it up. Syxx starts to climb up to the ladder. Bromell has made his way to the top cage now! Syxx almost has the belt, but Bromell gets up and pushes the ladder over into the cage!
CM: Syxx is down and out! Piledriver onto the cage by Bromell. Powerbomb by Bromell. Bromell picks up the ladder and throws it on Syxx!
S: Reverse DDT onto the cage by Bromell. Bromell sets up the ladder and starts to climb.
JH: Bromell climbs up. He almost has the belt. Wait Syxx slowly gets up! Bromell has the belt! Wait low blow by Syxx! Bromell loses the belt and falls to the cage floor!
CM: Suplex by Syxx. Tornado DDT by Syxx. Bronco Buster by Syxx. Syxx picks up Bromell. Syxx goes for a Syxx Kick.
S: But Bromell ducks and Syxx hits the ladder.
JH: Wait Bromell charges with a clothesline, but Syxx ducks and Bromell collides with ladder and hits the cage floor!
CM: Wait the ladder bounces off the cage wall and falls on top of Bromell!!
S: Syxx gets up and picks up Bromell. Syxx Kick against the cage by Syxx on Bromell!!
JH: Syxx sets up the ladder and climbs up. Syxx grabs the belt! Soldier Syxx is the NEW World Champion! The refs come down and let both wrestlers out of the cages. Syxx walks back to the back with the belt. Wait Bromell motions for me to join him for an interview!
JH: "Great match Maurice... we're looking forward to plenty more."
MB: "Well... I have an announcement to make. This was my last match in the WFW. I've had a good, yet short, career, and I couldn't be any happier with it. I've accomplished everything I've ever wanted to in the sport... and there's nothing left for me to overcome."
JH: "Well, I- I- I... Wh.. wh...?"
MB: "Yeah... I know it's surprisin'. It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever made. I love this federation. It's treated me like none other, and I'm gonna miss it a lot... I was a decision that I was very reluctant to make... but it needed to be done. And I'd just like to say thanks to all the fans... even though I broke your hearts at times, I still had that place... I'll miss you all. Razor... we had our good times and our bad times... but I'll always be a Dawg. Thanks..."
JH: "Well, the WFW is losing one of the greatest wrestlers it ever had. Maurice Bromell... we will miss you."
JH: What a shock! Bromell has walked out of the WFW! Wait a minute! Here comes Razor Ramon! What will he have to say about that?!
RR: "Well chico's it looks like the Bad Guy rides alone once more. But I will take out each and every one of those sev.."
JH: The mic is cut off and the lights go out! When they come back on, The Demon is stood nose to nose with Razor! A huge puff of smoke and Demon disappears with Razor left wondering what the hell is going on!
