Thursday Night Rage (4/8/99)
[The screen turns black and the letters,
W...F...W slowly make their way onto the
screen. The letters explode into darkness as
the word "RAGE" can now be seen. Then, the WFW Theme begins to play, as we are taken inside the arena
where thousands of screaming fans are
standing. The camera pans the crowd and ends
at the announce table where Jumbo Hastings is sitting.]
JH: Welcome to Thursday Night Rage!! We are
live from the WFW Arena in Los Angeles, CA!! Tonight we have 8 matches for you!! Lets go to the action! Wait Billy X has come down and he has taken a seat next to me!
BX: Thanks Jumbo. I am here for two reasons, one I will be here every wrestling event as a commentator along side you and two my son is fightin tonight. As you like to say, lets go to the....Wait what is this!
(Iceman's music begins to play. He arrives to a huge pop of cheers. He gets in the ring and speaks with Kevin Hamm.)
Hamm: Iceman, welcome back.
Ice: Thanks Kev. Good to be here again.
Hamm: Sunday you are going to fight the Bloodhound Maurice Bromell for WFW World Championship. What are you thoughts going in?
Ice: My thoughts are this. I go in. I kick ass. Then I go home. It's that simple. Sure, kicking ass will be tough but that is what I have to do to win. There is no need for heavy analysis. Just violence.
Hamm: You seem to be very confident about this match. Do you have any aces up your sleeve?
Ice: Just one. The Ice Cold Stunner.
Hamm: You have fought in so many great matches in your time. You have won more titles yourself than most stables do all together. Do you truly believe you can add to that tally and become the first ever three time World Champion in the history of the WFWA?
Ice: I wouldn't do this If I didn't think I
could. I know I can win. That experience edge will play a huge factor. I know what to do in every situation. Some people panic. I don't. I just assess the situation and deal with it.
Hamm: Well good luck on Sunday. This will truly be a great match.
Ice: you Legend has spoken. You may all cheer now.
(Iceman's music blares again to a huge pop of cheers. Iceman joins the crowd and leaves through them. )
#1 Mikey Shipwreck .v. Da Man
JH: Da Man starts off with a Big Boot to Shipwreck. Reverse DDT by Da Man. Choke Slam by Da Man. DDT by Dam Man. Da Man goes up top. He waits for Shipwreck to get up. Da Man goes for a Top Rope Clothesline, but Shipwreck moves out of the way. Hurricanrana by Shipwreck.
BX: Neckbreaker by Shipwreck. Shipwreck slings Da Man into the corner. Bronco Buster by Shipwreck. Shipwreck goes up top. 450 Splash by Shipwreck. Cover by Shipwreck. 1, 2, kickout! Drop Kick by Shipwreck. Da Man rolls outside. Shipwreck climbs the ropes. Shipwreck goes for a Moonsault to the outside, but Da Man moves! Da Man rolls Shipwreck back in.
JH: The ref still counts Da Man. Wait Shipwreck low blows the ref from behind! Here comes Soldier Syxx! Shipwreck grabss Da Man. Syxx goes for a Syxx Kick, but Da Man moves and Syxx nails Shipwreck with the Syxx Kick instead! Da Man shakes the ref and covers Shipwreck! 1, 2, 3!!! Da Man wins!! Syxx gets back into the ring and hands Da Man a eWo shirt. Da Man puts it on!! Is Da Man in eWo now?!?!
#2 The Great Milenko .v. Side Show Sal
(Fun House Match)
JH: This Fun House has 3 rooms. Both wrestlers start in the Hall of Illusions room! Kick and a DDT by Sal. Vertical DDT by Sal. Sal tries to send Milenko into the mirrors, but Milenko elbows him. Suplex by Milenko. Slam by Milenko. Milenko powerbombs Sal through a mirror! Milenko drags him to the Darkness room!
BX: It is totally dark in there, but Milenko begins to pound on Sal. Wait there is a loud noise and Milenko gets thrown out of the darkness room into the room full of mirrors. Sal throws Milenko through the mirrors! He finds some FAYGO bottles of Cream Soda and breaks them over the head of Milenko!! Sal goes for a DDT, but Milenko turns it into a Belly-to-Belly Suplex onto a trash can!!
JH: Milenko grabs a barbwire bat and nails Sal with it!!! Kick and The Hook Up on Sal on the broken glass!! 1, 2, 3!! Milenko wins!!
#3 ??? .v. Travis Tallant
(Hell in a Cell Match)
JH: Both men are in the cell and here we go! Tallant starts off with a Spinning Heel Kick on ???. Spin Wheel Kick by Tallant. DDT by Tallant. Death Valley Driver by Tallant. Tallant tries to pick up ???, but ??? grabs him and uses a Stun Gun on him!
BX: Spear by ???. Tallant goes outside. ??? follows and rams Tallant into the cell!! ??? rams the back of Tallant into the apron and then ??? slings Tallant into the steel steps!! ??? rolls Tallant back inside. DDT by ???. Piledriver by ???. Boston Crab by ???. Tallant grabs the ropes! Knee to the back by ???. ??? puts Tallant on the top rope, but Tallant fights back and pushes ??? to the mat.
JH: Top Rope Clothesline by ???. Tallant sets up ??? for the Tallanted Stunner. But ??? slides behind Tallant. Kick and a No Questions Powerbomb by ???!! ??? wins!!
#4 Scott Cole .v. Sniper
(Falls Count Anywhere Match)
JH: They punch it out! Kick and a DDT by Cole. Pump-Handle Slam by Cole. Cole throws Sniper outside. Cole runs and springs off the top rope and hits a Moonsault on Sniper. Cole throws Sniper into the steel steps! Cole grabs a chair. He throws it at Sniper, but Sniper ducks. Kick and a Spinebuster on the floor by Sniper. Sniper grabs the chair and nails Cole with it!
BX: Sniper grabs a table and sets it up. He puts Cole on it. Sniper jumps into the ring and climbs the top rope. Sniper goes for a Somersault, but Cole moves and Sniper goes crashing through the table! Neckbreaker by Cole on the floor. He picks up Sniper and a chair. He throws the chair at Sniper. Vandamanator by Cole. Cole goes to the top rope with the chair. Arabian Facebuster to the floor by Cole!!
JH: Cole covers Sniper! 1, 2, kickout! Head & Arm Suplex by Cole. Cole rolls Sniper back inside. Cole grabs Sniper. Low Blow by Sniper. Stun Gun by Sniper. Juvi Driver by Sniper. Sniper puts Cole on the top rope. Hangman's Neckbreaker by Sniper. Sniper goes for the Sniper Bomb. Wait Panther and Lisa come down the aisle and watch the match. Lisa then gets on the apron and distracts the ref! Panther gets in the ring with something in his hand.
BX: He then throws a fireball at Sniper, but he ducks and it hits Scott Cole right in the face!! Panther then leaves the ring. Lisa gets down and the ref turns around!! Sniper Bomb by Sniper on Cole!! 1, 2, 3!! Sniper wins!! After the match, Panther and Gunn run into the ring with chairs and they beat Sniper to a bloody pulp, and spray-paint WCW on his back!!
JH: Then, they help up Cole and beat him with with the chairs and give him a powerbomb/neckbreaker combo before leaving through the crowd with Lisa!! Wait here comes The Great Milenko! He breaks a bottle of FAYGO over the head of Cole!!! Now lets take it to this!!
(In the midcard area of the show when no one is wrestling "Wherever I May Roam" by Metallica plays over the loudspeakers. No one knows who it is, but then, when the old face emerges from the backstage area the fans go nuts, the return of the man who was once 4-0-1 in the WFW and came within inches of winning the World Title, it is Crow. The fans cheer for him and "Welcome back" chants go through the arena. Crow is wearing a long black robe with the hood down and his hair short and spiked as always. Crow makes his way into the ring and grabs a mic and waits for the crowd to calm down...)
Crow: Guess who in da' house now?
(Crowd cheers...)
Crow: Boy, its great to be back in WFW, I toured around the world, capturing more titles and stuff, and now I am back to one of my first, where I am still undefeated with four wins and a tie. Now I will still kick ass and take names like I did way back when, and most of you may not recognize me, I was here over three months ago. Soon it will come to pass and me being the best damn wrestler here in WFW, and being back on top. So it has been said, so it shall be written, and so it shall come to pass, so says the Crow, forevermore!
(The crowd cheers as he walks back to the locker room with "Wherever I May Roam" by Metallica blasting over the P.A. system.)
#5 Psycho .v. Garret Bannon
JH: They lock up. Headlock and a Shoulder Block by Psycho. German Suplex by Psycho. Psycho puts Bannon on the top rope. Hangman's Neckbreaker by Psycho. Psycho goes up top. He goes for a 450 Splash, but Bannon moves. Russian Leg Sweep by Bannon. Neckbreaker by Bannon. Slam and a Leg Drop by Bannon. Side Walk Slam by Bannon. Bannon puts Psycho on top.
BX: Superplex by Bannon. 1, 2, kickout! Bannon throws Psycho outside. Bannon follows him. Bannon tries to sling Psycho, but Psycho reverses it and sends Bannon into the steel steps! Death Valley Driver on the floor by Psycho! Psycho rolls Bannon back inside. Psycho grabs Bannon. Reverse Tornado DDT by Psycho.
JH: 1, 2, kickout! Psycho goes up top. He goes for a Shooting Star Clothesline, but Bannon moves! DDT by Bannon. Bannon sets up Psycho. The Cannon by Bannon!! 1, 2, 3!! Bannon wins!!
#6 Jason Hamilton .v. eWo: The Shocker .v. TT: Masked Murder
(Hardcore Championship/Triple Threat/Falls Count Anywhere Match)
JH: All 3 men begin to fight it out! Clothesline by Shocker on Hamilton. Murder with a Low Blow on Shocker! Elbow Drop by Murder on Shocker. Suplex by Murder. German Suplex by Murder. Wait Hamilton is up and he kicks Murder. DDT by Hamilton. Fallaway Slam by Hamilton on Murder. Hamilton throws Shocker out of the ring.
BX: Side Walk Slam by Hamilton on Murder. He throws Murder outside. Hamilton follows. Shocker now has a chair and nails Hamilton with it! Then he nails Murder with it! Rock Bottom to the floor by Shocker on Murder. Suplex on the floor by Shocker on Hamilton. Shocker pulls out a table and sets it up. He puts Murder on it.
JH: He sets up Murder for a Pedigree, but Murder backdrops Shocker off the table! Wait Hamilton jumps on the table and kicks Murder. Powerbomb through the table by Hamilton on Murder!! Hamilton throws Murder into the crowd. Hamilton grabs the chair and nails Shocker. He then throws him into the crowd. All 3 fight back to the second level. Low Blow by Murder on Hamilton.
BX: Murder picks up Hamilton for a Death Valley Driver, but Shocker pushes Hamilton causing him to turns the Driver into a DDT on Murder! Pedigree on the floor by Shocker on Hamilton. Shocker pins Hamilton. 1, 2, kickout! Electric Shock by Shocker on Murder on the floor! Shocker covers him. 1, 2, Hamilton breaks the count. Shocker drags Hamilton up the steps to the rail above the floor.
JH: He looks like Shocker goes for the Electric Shocker on Hamilton from the rail, but Hamilton breaks free and nails Shocker with a Super Kick! Shocker falls from rail about 10 feet down to the floor!! Murder starts to get up. Hamilton grabs a near-by chair. He climbs on the rail with the chair. Murder is up. Hamilton jumps from the rail and nails Murder with the chair on his way down!!! Murder has to be knocked out!! That was 10 feet of momentum striking Murder's skull with that chair shot! MY GOD!
BX: Murder falls on top of Shocker! Shocker pushes Murder off of him! But this gives Hamilton time to nail Shocker with the chair! Absolute Zero on the floor by Hamilton!! Hamilton covers Shocker!! 1, 2, 3!! Hamilton wins!!
#7 Jon Stewart .v. eWo: Jakal
(American Championship)
JH: This is for the Vacant American Title after Syxx gave it up so he can go after the World Title NEXT Thursday. They lock up. Stewart slings Jakal into the ropes. Boot to the face by Stewart. Bulldog by Stewart. Gullotine Drop by Stewart. Shoulder Breaker by Stewart. Stewart applies a headlock.
BX: Jakal gets up and elbows Stewart. Jakal runs off the ropes and drop kicks Stewart. Spinning Heel Kick by Jakal. Russian Leg Sweep by Jakal. German Suplex by Jakal. Leg Drop by Jakal. Jakal puts Stewart on top. Jakal climbs up, but Stewart pounds on Jakal. He pushes him to the mat. Top Rope Leg Drop by Stewart.
JH: Back Suplex by Stewart. Powerbomb by Stewart. Piledriver by Stewart. Stewart covers. 1, 2, kickout! DDT by Stewart. Stewart picks up Jakal. Stewart goes for The Demolisher, but Jakal slides behind him. Kick and a Powerbomb by Jakal. Jakal covers Stewart. 1, 2, kickout! Jakal puts Stewart on the top rope. Belly-to-Belly Superplex by Jakal. Jakal picks up Stewart. Superkick by Jakal.
BX: Jakal goes for the Old Glory, but Stewart elbows him. Stewart tries to sling Jakal into the corner, but the ref gets in the way and he goes down!! Here comes another ref with a mask on! He gets in the ring. Wait Dogg's Bite by the masked ref on Stewart!! That is Johnny Gunn!! He wakes the ref and leaves he ring! Old Glory by Jakal on Stewart! 1, 2, 3!! Jakal is the NEW American Champion!!
#8 Razor Ramon and Maurice Bromell vs. Messiah and Jeffrey D. Major
(Tag Team Championship)
JH: The Theme to Terminator begins to play as Messiah and Major make their way to the ring. Then Razor Ramon's Theme begins to play and firewroks shoot off as Razor Ramon and Bromell come out!
JH: They are in the ring now. Here we go! Bromell and Messiah lock up. Punches by Messiah. Boot to the face by Messiah. Side Walk Slam by Messiah. Elbow Drop by Messiah. Messiah tags out to Major. Major stomps on Bromell. Backbreaker by Major. Running Powerbomb by Major. Major tags out to Messiah.
BX: Clothesline by Messiah. messiah goes for a Piledriver, but Bromell backdrops him. Bromell crawls to his corner. Messiah tries to stop him, but Bromell tags Ramon. Ramon pounds on Messiah. Here comes Major. Clothesline by Ramon on him. Piledriver by Ramon on Messiah. Backbreaker by Ramon on Major.
JH: Ramon picks up Major and clotheslines Major outside the ring. Back Suplex by Ramon on Messiah. Cover by Ramon. 1, 2, kickout! Headbutt by Ramon on Messiah. Ramon applies an Abdominal Stretch, but Major comes back in and nails Ramon! Bromell is in and he nails Major. Atomic Drop by Bromell on Major. Choke Slam by Bromell on Major. Messiah nails Bromell. Choke Slam by Messiah on Bromell.
BX: Wait from behind Ramon rolls up Messiah! 1, 2, kickout! Messiah gets up and clotheslines Ramon. Wait Major low blows Bromell. Drop Kick by Major to Bromell. Bromell goes flying to the outside. Major and Messiah double-team Ramon! Double DDT by Messiah and Major on Ramon! Major goes to his corner and Messiah covers Ramon! 1, 2, KICKOUT! Messiah tags in Major. Bromell is now back in his corner.
JH: Spinning Heel Kick by Major on Ramon. Major goes for a Choke Slam on Ramon, but Bromell comes in and breaks it up! Here comes Messiah with a clothesline, but Bromell ducks. Irish Whip by Bromell. Splash in the corner by Bromell. Bromell throws Messiah outside. Inside the ring, Major slams Ramon. He backs into the ropes and goes for a Leg Drop, but Ramon rolls out of the way! Ramon grabs the ropes and gets up. Major is up.
BX: Outside the ring, Messiah slings Bromell into the steps. Messiah grabs a chair. Major goes to hit Ramon, but Ramon blocks it. Ramon pounds on Major. Fallaway Slam by Ramon on Major. Messiah comes in with the chair. He tries to hit Ramon, but Bromell grabs the foot of Messiah from the outside! Ramon turns around and kicks Messiah. Messiah drops the chair.
JH: DDT on the chair by Ramon! Ramon goes over to Major now. Bromell hops back into the ring. Ramon sets up Major for a Razor's Edge. Wait the boot of Major hits the ref by accident when he was being picked up. The ref goes down! He is dazed! Ramon tries to pick up Major for the Edge again. Wait here comes a masked man with a chair! He tries to nails Ramon, but Bromell stops him and grabs the chair from him!
BX: Wait Bromell NAILS Ramon with the chair right in the skull!!! What the HELL!!! Major covers Ramon!! 1, 2, 3!! Major and Messiah are the NEW Tag Team Champions!!! Why did Bromell hit Ramon?!?! Wait Bromell rips off his shirt and reveals a 7SOA shirt!!! MY GOD!! Major and Bromell are together in 7SOA!!
JH: I can not believe this!! Wait Ramon gets up and tries to attack Bromell. But the masked man nails him with the chair!! Major has another 7SOA shirt. He hands it to Messiah. Messiah turns around to put it on. Major picks up the chair and nails Messiah with it!! The masked man takes off his mask and reveals himself as Jon Stewart!! He grabs the shirt away from Messiah and puts it on!! I can't believe this! Stewart hs joined 7SOA too!!! Major grabs a mic now.
JM: "Now 7SOA is three strong. Poor Razor never saw it coming. And you, Messiah, we may be tag champs and partners, but we are far from friends. Armeggedon has no pity!!!"
BX: Wait Lightning Kid comes out and tries to attack Bromell, but 7SOA beats him down! Then a dark eerie music plays while Bromell, Stewart, and Major all walk out together! Kid jumps into the ring to see about Ramon. Here comes Doom! He yells at Kid asking what he is doing! Wait they shake hands! They attack Ramon!! Doom locks on a Figure-Four! He won't let go!!
JH: Wait here comes some security! They get into the ring and arrest Doom and Kid! Here comes some officials. They help Ramon to the back. We are out of time! We will see you Sunday for Spring Rumble 99'!!!
