Thursday Night Rage (3/4/99)

 
[The screen turns black and the letters, 
W...F...W slowly make their way onto the 
screen. The letters explode into darkness as 
the word "RAGE" can now be seen. Then, the WFW Theme begins 
to play, as we are taken inside the arena 
where thousands of screaming fans are 
standing. The camera pans the crowd and 
brings us to the announcers table at ringside 
where Jumbo Hastings is standing. Wait 
suddenly the cameras shut off and then switch 
to the WFW Headquarters, where Jumbo Hastings 
is sitting behind a desk.]

JH: Due to bad weather in Winston-Salem, NC, 
the WFW is experiencing some technical 
diffuculities. Therefore the WFW was unable 
to bring you Thursday Night Rage live 
tonight! The card is over, but I am here to 
give you a recap of tonight's events. Here we 
go!

The show kicked off with a series of 
interviews. Here they are:

JP: Garret, one question that is on 
everyone's mind is why did you leave the 
Canadian Horsemen and help DX? 
                              
GB: Well Jay, you see, I never wanted to join 
the Horsemen. I hate them. I'm not even 
Canadien. They had a whole lot of talent when 
I was with them, then I left and now they 
suck. Horsemen, whenever you have a match, be 
sure to look over your shoulder because I 
could righ behind you. Now, everyone is like 
"Why did Bannon help the man that injured 
him?" Well, I did but I also helped a good 
friend of mine. Chad Sexton. I have respect 
for DX but not a lot. Billy X injured me and 
thats why I now am challenging him to a match 
that I made up. It's called a Death Match. 
The place you fight is in the rafters. The 
fight will be in an empty arena and the first 
to fall will die and lose. 


Ham: We have a young wrestler here tonight. 
we asked him for an interview and he 
accepted. Ladies and Gentlemen, Ryan Burns! 
                              
Burns: Hello Kev. 
                              
Ham: Hello Mr. Burns. Let's start the 
interview. 
                              
Burns: Ok. Shoot. 
                              
Ham: Ok. What do you plan to do in tonight's 
Main Event? 
                              
Burns: I plan on calling it down the middle. 
I'll be, not a wrestler, but a ref tonight. I 
will not cheat or anything. My objection is 
to be in my FIRST WFW Main Event! 
                              
Ham: Buuut, you do know that Ramon is in this 
match, dont you? 
                              
Burns: Of course I do. I'm not really worried 
about him tonight. Also, he shouldn't be 
worried about me. I'm a ref in this match, 
not a wrestler. He just has to learn to trust 
me in this one. But Ramon, even though I'll 
call it down the middle, doesn't mean that 
I'll go easy on you when we fight for that 
gold that you got. 
                              
Ham: That was exciting... 
                              
Burns: You had better believe it! 
                              
Ham: Well, anyways. Do you have anything to 
say to Iceman Jason McGrew? He is Ramon's... 
                              
Burns: [interupting] Partner. I noticed. 
Jason, I have nothing at all against you. But 
since your with my future foe, I must warn 
you... Don't make me have a problem with you. 
I could beat your a-- into the mat anytime 
and anywhere that we face. So don't you even 
THINK about making a problem. 
                              
Ham: Umm. Why the attitude? 
                              
Burns: Is it any of your business? 
                              
Ham: Well, no. Anyways, one last 
question...please. 
                              
Burns: Go ahead. 
                              
Ham: Now, Ramon mentioned that if you 
interfere in any way...you'll never have a 
shot at the World Championship. 
                              
Burns: Oh he did? Well Ramon. You dont have 
to worry about me, do you? I mean...your the 
one who is [imatating a retarded Ramon] 
Ooozing Machismo! Your the one who is the Bad 
Guy, oooooh. [back to normal] I am sick of 
your f'n talk. When we meet in the ring, I'll 
stomp the Machismo out of you and I'll sell 
your Bad Guy Juice to some Granny of a 
neighborhood kid. Oh and about your Hair 
Grease.... I'LL THROW IT AWAY!!! 
{physco theme blares over the PA. [Screech! 
Screech! Screech!]} 
                              
Ham: Ha Ha! That was hilarious. Well, thank 
you for your time. Goodbye. 
                              
{The card continues on as usual.} 


Jay Powers: At this time I'd like to 
introduce a young crusier weight about to 
make his here in the WFW, Heavy Metal!!! 
                              
{"Walk" starts up and Heavy Metal walks out 
wearing a black unbuttoned shirt, Black 
leather pants, and a pair of black combat 
boots} 
                              
Jay: Well first let me welcome you to the WFW 
and ask you who your first opponent will be? 
                              
HM:WHoever the Lightweight champ may be after 
the tournyment is over. 
                              
Jay: Who would you like to face? 
                              
HM:Probably that little runt Pinhead or 
Lightning Kid. 
                              
Jay:Do you have some backround on yourself? 
                              
HM: Well I trained in Ultimo Dragons gym, 
traveled al through Mexico, trained with Al 
Snow in my home town Cleveland, worked for an 
old chinese guy who taught me a secret form 
of martial arts, then traveled the indys, now 
I'm here. 
                              
Jay:WHat do you hope to accomplish in the 
WFW? 
                              
HM:I hope to take the cruiser title and keep 
it around my waist racking in win after win. 
                              
Jay:We're almost out of time any last words? 
                              
HM: Yeah, cruisers watch your backs none of 
you are my freinds, none of you are liked by 
me, and none of you have my talent.Watch your 
backs!!! 
                              
Jay: Thank you, now back to the action. 



#1 eWo: Joe Jackson .v. Mysterio 
(Buried Alive Match)

JH: Jackson was all over Mysterio and 
eventually used the Jackson Jam Slam on him 
Then he buried him for the win!!

#2 Pinhead .v. Challenge .v. Julio Montero
(Triple Threat/Cage Match)

JH: Good action in this match. Challenge used 
the Ultimate Challenge on Montero. But then 
Pinhead used the Pindrop on Challenge and 
pinned both of them for the win!!

#3 WCW/eWo: Panther .v. CH: Havok
(Lightweight Title Tourny/First Round)

JH: Good Match. But in the end Sniper came 
down to the ring and tripped Panther. Panther 
then went after Sniper and he got counted 
out, giving Havok the win.

#4 Sniper vs. Jon Stewart
(Exploding Cage Match)

JH: Good Match. Stewart eventually climbed 
out of the cage for the win. Gunn's 
girlfriend then came out and distracted 
Snuper. Panther came from underneath the ring 
and nailed Sniper with a chair!! He then 
handcuffed Sniper to the cage and left. Then 
the time limit expired and the ring EXPLODED! 
Doctors came down and took Sniper to the 
hospital. He was later said to have minor 
burns, but he should be healed for the PPV 
this Sunday.

#5 RH: Psycho .v. DX: Chad Sexton
(Hardcore Championship/Inferno/Scaffold 
Match)

JH: Wild Match. Psycho used a Hardcore DDT 
from the scaffolds through the table below! 
After that, Psycho easily threw Sexton into 
the fire for the win! Sexton was quickly put 
out!

#6 eWo: Soldier Syxx .v. eWo: The Shocker
(Intercontinental Championship)

JH: Great Action in this match. But in the 
end the 30 minute time limit expired and the 
match was declared a DRAW!!

#7 WCW/eWo: Johnny Gunn .v. CH: Jakal
(Lightweight Title Tourny/First Round)

JH: Good Match, but Gunn won it with the 
Dogg's Bite.

#8 CH: Jeffrey D. Major and CH: Phoenix 
Thunder .v. DX: Mark De La Rocha and Bam Bam 
Bigelow
(Tag Team Title Tourny Match)

JH: Major dominated in this match. He won it 
for his team with a Choke Slam on Rocha!!

#9 RH: Razor Ramon and RH: Iceman Jason 
McGrew .v. eWo: Masked Murder and eWo: 
Mankind
(Tag Team Title Tourny Match)

JH: This was crazy! Wild from start to 
finish! First the arena filled up with smoke 
while the Angel of Death attacked Mankind on 
his way out! Murder then attacked Angel. 
Iceman and Ramon the came down and all 4 got 
into the ring with Ryan Burns as the ref. In 
the end Mankind went for the Mandible Claw, 
but Ramon ducked and he applied it to the 
ref, Burns. Murder's manager, Big Jhon Stud 
hit Ramon with a baseball bat! Then Johnny 
Gunn came out and nailed Ramon with a guitar! 
Pinhead came down and used a Pindrop on 
Iceman on the floor. Here comes Joe Jackson 
and Panther. Here came Psycho and Reddust 
with chairs! They hit Gunn, Pinhead, Big Jhon 
Studd, Mankind, Jackson, Murder, and Panther 
with chairs!! The lights went out and when 
they came back on Psycho and Reddust were 
out!! So Ramon, Iceman, Mankind, Murder, Ryan 
Burns, Pinhead, Johnny Gunn, Panther, Big 
Jhon Stud, Joe Jackson, Psycho, and Reddust 
were all knocked out! Making this match a No 
Contest with no ref and no wrestlers!! That 
is where we left this weird and wild night!

JH: So what a great way to set up Wrestlecade 
this Sunday!! It should be great. The WFW 
will back to full strength so make sure to 
order it ONLY on Pay-Per-View! Tonight The 
Prez will announce most of the matches for 
the PPV, so stay tuned got that! I will see 
you Sunday for Wrestlecade!!
