WFW Sunday Night Fury (2/7/99)

[The screen turns black and the letters,
W...F...W slowly make their way onto the
screen. The letters explode into darkness as
the word "FURY" can now be seen. Then, the WFW Theme begins to play, as we are taken inside the arena where thousands of screaming fans are standing. The camera pans the crowd and brings us to the announcers table at ringside where Jumbo Hastings is standing.]

JH: Welcome everyone to Sunday Night Fury!! We are live from Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY!! We are just a few minutes away from Hostile Takeover! But before that we will bring you 2 matches right here!! So lets go to the action!!!

#1 The Shocker and Soldier Syxx .v. AM: Blade and AM: Fat Freddie

JH: Shocker and Blade started off this match and Blade put Shocker through the ringer with several moves and near pin falls. Blade and Freddie used several tags to their advantage to keep Shocker from tagging until he used a Double Clothesline to get the tag to Syxx. Syxx burst into the ring on fire and cleaned house of Blade and Freddie. Syxx turned his back and Freddie got in a Dropkick from behind to gain the upperhand, but not for long. Syxx managed to reverse a Hurricanrana into a Powerbomb and used the Syxx Kick for the 1, 2, 3!! Syxx and Shocker wins!!

#2 Angel of Death .v. Phoenix Thunder

JH: These two were pretty much equal throughout the match. Thunder went up top and missed a Clothesline. Death retaliated with a Dropkick to send Thunder to the Floor. Death tried for a Suicide Dive, but Thunder sidestepped him and rolled him back into the ring. Thunder began to tear apart Death, but he managed to fight back for a few miutes. Thunder finally put Death away with the Phoenix Sunburn for the 1, 2, 3!!!! Thunder wins!!

JH: We are just a little while away from Hostile Takeover live on PPV! You will get to see 4 Title matches, including a World Title Match between the reigning Tag Team Champions, Razor Ramon and Maurice Bromell! They will have to defend those titles on Thursday against a team we saw tonight, Shocker and Soldier Syxx!! We will see if they can forget about tonight's match and work together on Thursay!! We are out of time! I will see you in just a few minutes for Hostile Takeover!!!
