Sunday Night Fury (9/12/99)

[The screen turns black and the letters, W...F...W slowly make their way onto the screen. The letters explode into darkness as the word "FURY" can now be seen. Then, the WFW Theme begins to play as we are taken inside the WFW Studios in the WFW Headquarters in Los Angeles, CA where Jumbo Hastings is sitting behind a large desk.]

JH: Welcome everyone to Sunday Night Fury!! Tonight we are doing something a little different! The Fury results were taped last night at the San Diego Arena in San Diego, CA!! So I am here to bring you the recaps of what happened last night! So lets go to them!

#1 Brommel Jr. vs. Da Killaman

JH: Brommel Jr. claims to be the son of the former WFW World Champion, Maurice Bromell. But that remains to be seem. But this was a great debut for Brommel Jr. Da Killaman was no match for Brommel. As Brommel made quick work of Da Killaman and won this match with the Brommel Bomb!!

Winner: Brommel Jr.

#2 X Kid and Rick Youngblood vs. The Universal Soldier and Johnny Blaze (No DQ Match)

JH: This was wild! They used everything they could get! They fought outside and inside! X Kid and Youngblood looked good early, but both men used too many crazy high risks moves and it cost them. X Kid tried dive onto Blaze, but Blaze moved and Kid went through a table! Blaze and Soldier then threw Youngblood out of the ring. And then they hit a Double Powerbomb through another table on Kid for the win!! Youngblood got up after the match, and did not look happy about the loss as he just left Kid in the ring.

Winner: The Universal Soldier and Johnny Blaze

#3 The Shocker vs. Berringer (American Championship)

JH: This was a great match. It was back and forth all the way. Berringer went for The Brickbreaker, but Shocker held onto the ropes and Berringer hit the match. Shocker then hit his new move, the Electric Chair. But instead of going for a cover, he jumped up and down and celebrated and jawed with the fans as they booed! Finally Shocker went for a cover, but Berringer quickly rolled up Shocker for the win!! Afterwards both men punched it out, but Berringer got the advantage and he applied a Longbow Backbreaker Submission Hold on Shocker! And he would not let go! Finally officials had to pull him off! Berringer is showing a meaner side now that he is the NEW American Champion! But after Berriger left, newcomer, V-Tor, came into the ring and attacked Shocker with a sledgehammer! Officials had to drag him to the back.

Winner: NEW American Champion, Berringer

#4 Jakal vs. Da Man (Lord of the Squared Circle Match)

JH: Both men did not seem like themselves here. They seemed not into it. But it went back and forth and it was an OK match. Da Man went for the Hell Drop from the top, but Jakal reversed it into a Facebuster from the top! Jakal then hit the Old Glory for the win!! Jakal is the REAL Lord of the Squared Circle!

Winner: LONE Lord of the Squared Circle, Jakal

#5 Pinhead vs. Daredevil (IC Championship)

JH: Joe Jackson was the special ref in this match. But he called it right down the middle. There was lots of counters in this match, because both Pinhead and Daredevil and knew each others moves so well, since they are brothers. The crowd seemed to get behind Pinhead in this match. In the end, Daredevil complained of a slow count after Pinhead draped his leg over the ropes after a Devil's Call from Daredevil. Daredevil even pushed Jackson. Jackson would take none of that and he pushed Daredevil back. From behind, Pinhead quickly rolled up Daredevil and Jackson counted the win!! Afterwards Daredevil and Jackson punched it out! Pinhead got involved though and he attacked Daredevil as well! After Jackson and Pinhead knocked Daredevil down, they stared at each other and then Pinhead just grabbed his belt and left.

Winner: STILL IC Champion, Pinhead

#6 Crow vs. Psycho (Hardcore Championship)

JH: This was crazy! These men are the Current Tag Champions, but after the PPV last Sunday, they hate each other! So they gave everything they had to each other! Crow attempted his Bloodflow DDT, but Psycho countered into a Northern Lights Suplex. Psycho then was set to hit the Kiss of Death. But then the lights went out X's shoot from the rafters towards the ground! Then a red light filled the entrance way and you could see the returning Panther and Johnny Gunn come to the ring. But then the lights went out again and when they came back on a masked man was standing over a knocked out Gunn and Panther! The masked man then grabbed a mic and in a disguised voice he says, "Psycho, you and me are good allies along with Johnny Kool. So right now I will reveal myself." He then revealed himself to be Billy X! "Psycho, I am offering you a spot in this group I wanna form. I am asking you and Johnny Kool to join me to form Triple Threat. Get back to me Thursday. You too Johnny, Triple Threat with Psycho, Johnny Kool and Billy X= Unstoppable force lets join guys." The masked man then left. Psycho stopped what he was doing to listen to him. But keep in the mind the match was still going on. So this gave time for Crow to recover and he spun Psycho around and hit a Bloodflow DDT!! But then Johnny Kool came running out and he pulled the ref outside and the ref went down hard outside! Kool had a baseball bat and he nailed Crow with it! He worked him over pretty good! Kool then layed Psycho on top of Crow and then Kool splashed water on the ref's face to revive him. Kool threw the ref back in and then he left. The ref then counted to 3!!

Winner: NEW Hardcore Champion, Psycho

[The scene cuts from the highlights back to Jumbo sitting at the desk inside the studios.]

JH: Well that was Sunday Night Fury! Another good show with more twists and turns. Where will all of this lead? Well find out in the coming weeks. We are out of time! I will see you Thursday for a LIVE RAGE!!
