Sunday Night Fury (4/25/99)
[The screen turns black and the letters,
W...F...W slowly make their way onto the
screen. The letters explode into darkness as
the word "FURY" can now be seen. Then, the WFW Theme begins to play as we are taken inside the arena
where thousands of screaming fans are
standing. The camera pans the crowd and
brings us to the announcers table at ringside where Jumbo Hastings is standing.]
JH: Welcome everyone to Sunday Night Fury!!
We are live from the Providence Civic Center in Providence, RI!!! Tonight we have 4 matches for you!! Before we go to the action, we need to bring you two sad stories! First on his way to the arena tonight, Syxx Pac was hit by a drunk driver while he was driving. He will be for about 2 weeks. So he will have to vacant his Lightweight Title to Sniper or Gunn. They will have a match tonight to see who is the NEW Champ! Also Friday Night, Chris Micheals known to wrestling fans as Doom was in a serious car accident! The accident has ruined his WFWA Career for good! More news on this later!
#1 Lord of Darkness .v. Nick Castle
(Darkside Match)
JH: Okay, this match is under way. Nick starts it off. Clothesline by Nick. Nick with a sleeper hold, LOD gets up, and elbows Nick off him, then Russian Leg Sweep by Lord of Darkness. LOD picks him up, and Running Power Slam sends Nick outside! LOD goes outside and slams Nick into the railing. Nick struggles to get up. LOD grabs a chair and swings but Nick blocks it and smacks him with the chair, then throws him in the ring. Nick goes up top rope and elbow drops LOD, but he gets up and drop kicks Castle!! Lord of Darkness picks Castle up, and choke slam into the turnbuckle. He gets the rope, and hangs Nick Castle!! Castle is hanged!! LOD wins!!
All of the sudden the lights start to flicker and through the lights the fans can see the arena filling with a smoke screen. Once the entire arena is filled with smoke all the lights shut off and with one loud bang a blue light from the titan-tron fills the arena. The light cuts through the smoke and hits the very center of the mat where everyone sees a figure standing in the light. He is wearing black vinyl pants and has black wraps from his hands to his shoulders. The most noticeable feature about his is the large scar he bears on his chest, it is of an eight pointed star. In the eerie blue glow from the light he brings the microphone to his mouth to speak.
???: The guiding light, that which you depend on for your direction, that which keeps you from losing yourself in a world full of confusion and wrong doings. You ask yourself what it is worth in this world to do right. Yet you find no response until you look to the north and find your guardian star.
The man starts to run his fingers along the scar in his chest almost as if he is drawing inspiration from it.
???: Hmmm, I have come to the WFW for I realize the lack of inspiration and the lack of good judgement. There are few who follow the true way, and those few, once they have crossed my path shall be rewarded. But the others shall know the way... of the Polaris.
All of the sudden a light above the ring bursts but instead of glass raining down on him there is a trail of silver dust slowly raining on the mysterious man. Finally with another loud pop the blue light goes off and the rest of the house lights come back up only to reveal the man is gone.
JH: We were supposed to have a Barbwire Match between Iceman Jason McGrew and Joe Jackson, but Jackson is a little under the weather so these two will meet Thursday in a Barbwire Match!!! Lets continue now!
#2 Soldier Syxx .v. Mikey Shipwreck
(Backyard Brawl)
JH: This next match should be interesting! Lets go live to Mikey Shipwreck's backyard just around the corner from the arena here! Take it Phil!
[The cameras pan from the arena to the backyard where Phil Smith and Bombshell are sitting at announce table in Shipwreck's backyard!]
PS: Hello, this is Phil Smith
B: And this is Bombshell
PS: Welcome to the Backyard Brawl! Tonight, in Mikey Shipwreck's own backyard, He is gonna take on Soldier Syxx, to settle a dispute that they have been having.
B: Mikey Shipwreck makes his way to the backyard.
PS: And here comes Soldier Syxx. This Match is under way. Shipwreck starts it off. Scoop Slam by Mikey. Mikey jumps on top of the picnic table, and flying leg drop!
B: Ow! Syxx Pac gets up, and Shipwreck goes to powerbomb him
PS: But Soldier Syxx squirts Mustard in Mikey's eyes. Mikey grabs his eyes from the pain. Tackle by Soldier Syxx. Syxx locks on the ankle lock.
B: Looks like Mikey is in for it.
PS: Duke checks to see if he's gonna give up. He doesn't. Mikey punches him off, then Irish whip into the trash cans.
B: Shipwreck goes over to the cans and grabs a trash can and smashes it into the face of Soldier Syxx.
PS: This is a good match, isn't it.
B: Yes it is. I'm glad we got seats in the backyard.
PS: Soldier Syxx gets out of the rubble, and Mikey goes to Piledrive him, but Syxx grabs his head and slams it through the shed.
B: Syxx grabs a two by four with a nail in it and beats Shipwreck in with it. Ow! Mikey is bleeding, poor thing.
PS: Syxx goes into the shed, and we hear some screaming. Oh no! Mikey Shipwreck was pouring gasoline into soldier syxx's eyes!
B: Syxx stumbles over to the picnic table, and Mikey connects with a steel ladder. Oh no, what is this!
PS: Mikey is choking Soldier Syxx with a garden hose. It looks like Syxx is out.
B: Duke raises his hand, falls down, he raises hand, and it falls again, raises it one more time, and Syxx's hand stays up in the air.
PS: Mikey tightens the hold but its no use. Syxx gets up fighting, and hits Mikey with a bucket. He puts the bucket over Mikey's head and....
B: Bang! Soldier Syxx hits him in the him with a lawn chair.
PS: Mikey gets up, and takes the bucket off his head. Soldier Syxx goes for the syxx kick, but Mikey grabs his foot and flips him over.
B: What's this! Mikey sets the ladder up and climbs up the roof.
PS: Mikey Shipwreck gets up for a flying elbow drop. Man this is insane. He jumps off.
B: Ow! He connects with Soldier Syxx. Both man are down. Mikey is out! Syxx gets up.
PS: Duke Nukem hits Soldier Syxx from behind with a lawn chair! Syxx is out! Duke with the Nuclear Meltdown onto the chair!!
B: Mikey struggles to get up, and covers Soldier Syxx! Duke gives the count!
PS: 1, 2, 3!! Shipwreck Wins!!!
#3 X-Paq: Sniper .v. X-Paq: Johnny Gunn
(Lightweight Championship)
JH: One of these stablemates will be the NEW Lightweight Champion, because of the terrible car wreck with Syxx Pac. Here we go! Sniper turns around and he kicks Gunn right in the stomach. Now he DDT's him right into the canvas. Now, Sniper off the ropes with an elbow onto Gunn. He's going for it again, but Gunn jumps up and trips Sniper! Sniper falls to the mat! Now, Gunn from behind gets him with a neckbreaker. Now, he picks him up and sends him to the corner, and follows him right in there with a big splash. Now he gives Sniper a big boot. Now, he picks up Sniper and he gives him an atomic drop. He stomps on Sniper a bit more. Now, he picks him up and goes for a suplex, but NO. Sniper blocks and he reverses it. Now, Sniper kicks away on Gunn. Low Blow by Gunn! Gunn slings Sniper into the ropes, but Sniper hangs on! Sniper runs and kicks Gunn in the gut! Sniper Bomb by Sniper!! 1, 2, 3!! Sniper is the NEW Lightweight Champion!!! Wait the lights go out and when they come back on, Sniper is hung above the ring and the Lord of Darkness is above him in the rafters!! That is 2 people tonight!!
#4 WP: Jason Hamilton .v. 7SOA: The Scribe
JH: Scribe comes out first. Then fireworks shoot off as Hamilton enters the ring.
They lock up. Kick by Scribe. Body Slam by Scribe. Choke by Scribe. Piledriver by Scribe. Scribe goes up top. He goes for a Guillotine Leg Drop, but Hamilton moves! Side Walk Slam by Hamilton. Fallaway Slam by Hamilton. Side Kick by Hamilton. DDT by Hamilton. Hamilton picks up Scribe. He backs into the ropes and goes for a Running Clothesline, but Scribe kicks him in the gut! DDT by Scribe. Figure-Four by Scribe. Hamilton grabs the ropes. Scribe crosses the legs of Hamilton and kicks him in the groin! Scribe makes a cover! 1, 2, kickout! Scribe goes for a Powerbomb, but Hamilton backdrops him. Kick and a Suplex by Hamilton. Brainbuster by Hamilton. Neckbreaker by Hamilton. Hamilton puts Scribe on top. Hamilton climbs up. Hamilton goes for a Superplex, but Scribe hangs onto the ropes! Scribe pounds on Hamilton. Scribe lifts Hamilton and drops him to the mat with a face-first Suplex from the top rope! Scribe picks up Hamilton. Powerbomb into a pin by Scribe! 1, 2, KICKOUT!! Scribe picks up Hamilton. Scribe goes for The Written, but Hamilton shifts his weight and falls behind Scribe! Kick by Hamilton. Hamilton grabs Scribe for the Absolute Zero, but Scribe grabs the ropes and Hamilton hits the mat! The Written by Scribe! 1, 2, 3!!! Scribe wins!!! But remember this Scribe DOES NOT get a Hardcore Title shot! Yeah he did beat Hamilton in a Non-Title Match, but this match was not under Hardcore Rules, So Scribe gets no Hardcore Title shot! But I think Scribe just wants repsect! Well we are out time! I will see you Thursday!!!
