Heartache is here
and so liveth pain,
Clouds hover overhead
and now begind the rain.
Darkness surrounds
everything in sight,
Let it be known
that here it's always night.
The chill in the air
cuts deep to the bone,
So many cry out
and long to go home.
Reality is deep
like the darkness of night,
So often we're confussed
in chooseing what's wrong and what's
right.
But in this place
that I do call mine,
I shall live in darkness
never knowing the sunshine.
For in this place
that I consider my own,
I shall live and dwell
and here make my home.
Reality it's self
couldn't tear me away,
From the world I live in
each day to lasting day.
For in this place of mine
many friends I have do walk,
And though it may not seem
all I hear is alot of talk.
Talk is cheap
and life is short,
But that doesn't seem to faze
those standing near their port.
For in this place of mine
everyone owns a ship,
And it's up to them to maintain it,
to secure the lines so they don't
slip.
For once you've lost
your ship to the night,
It shall never again
return within your sight.
Hold tight to your dreams
that lie deep within,
For giving them up
is as bad as every sin.
For in this place of mine
my dreams forever shall be,
And I will take them with me
when I enter into eternity.
