COMPLETE BIO ON TONI

Toni Kukoc was born September 18, 1968 in the Croatian City of Split. While he was growing up, it seemed he was interested in table-tennis. With alot of practice, Toni soon became good at the sport and at the age of 14 he became a world champion in his age group. Toni first became interested in basketball at the age of 13, when he suddenly sprouted six inches and was "discovered" by a local hoops coach who spotted him jogging on a beach. As time went on, Toni became good at basketball and in the year of 1989(he was 22) his career in basketball started when he was signed to the Yugo- slavian national team. After his first year, he was noticed by the NBA and was soon drafted (pick 29 overall) by the World Champion Chicago Bulls. But Toni could not leave Yugoslavia until he was out of his preveous contract. After one more year of playing with his team, he was traded to the Benetton Treviso team in Italy. After two seasons with Italy, Toni was finally out of his European contract, he could now go to the windy city to help Chi-town replace the retired Michael Jordan. While playing for Chicago, he developed a knack for hitting last second shots (including two major buzzer beaters against New York and Orlando). Not soon after, Jordan decided to come out of retirement and help Chicago out. Toni is still playing for the six time world champions Chicago Bulls. Averaging 13 point, and is considered an international superstar.
