Christian (Principal at Heights), the other is a joint review by myself and Linda

3. Connection to Goals: These evaluations meet professionalism goals one and two as they
show that I am willing to listen to criticism and hopefully to learn
from it, also they show that I am more than willing to share information
and foster relationships with other faculty and teachers.
4. Reflection: I have read these evaluations and have used them to attempt to better my methods
of educating.

Caption 4: Sample Physical Science Test
1. Date: Given on May 3rd
2. Description: The following is an example of a test that I gave at the end of a unit on work,
energy, and machines. The day before this test, I reviewed the material with
the students by having them compete with each other to answer questions from
the test.
3. Connection to Goals: This test meets instructor goal seven as it is a formal evaluation of
the knowledge the student has aquired about the topic.
4. Reflection: I believe that this test is appropriate to the topic, and the only possible change
I would make is to put the number of points possible (82) on the test so the students
would be better aware of the effect of the test on their grade.
Caption 5: Biological Timeline
1. Date: Assigned on April 3, 2003
2. Description: The following is a project the students were assigned to help them
better understand geologic time and the time periods involved in natural history.
The students were assinged to work in groups (randomly selected) and given the
criteria along with a 4 meter long piece of paper. Some of the work was done outside
of class.
3. Connection to Goals: This assignment meets several program goals including, the use of assignments for
varied learning styles as well as varied instructional approaches and materials.
4. Reflection: This assignment fit well with the material that I wanted the students to learn, and I
believe that most of them came away with a better understanding of how long history is
compared to how short the human span of life has been.
