*~JuNKyArD~* The Ultimate Nirvana Newsletter .................................
Okay, thanks to a tip from a reader, I've realized that some of my pretty colors aren't very easy to see. =( Please email me if you have trouble reading it because of all the colors I use. What good is a newsletter that you can't read? Anyways, HELLO all new subscribers! Here's a quick explanation of the newsletter: Every newsletter I give you a new topic, and you send me your thoughts on that topic. Then I'll publish them in the next issue of the newsletter. I also try to give some news pertaining to the band with every issue...and I'll always send out one .GIF/.JPEG or .WAV/.MIDI with every issue.
The topic for last time: What do you think about the Dave Grohl/Puff Daddy collaboration? (Dave Grohl is playing guitar/drums and producing Puff Daddy's next album.) Whoa, I got some negative vibes. Here's what you had to say: **** dave grohl and puff daddy?? woah, whats this world coming to? thats a scary duet...arggg.."theres a thing called overkill, puff daddy should look into it"-- adapapted from the WEEKLY WORLD STONEY Issue #1. If you're interested in that newsletter, e-mail Stoney4429@aol.com and ask for a subscribtion. Kurt on laser-disc, woah.. thats neat. my science teacher has a laser disc player and he's a nirvana fan. maybe i'll talk him into buying it. i've seen a copy of live tonight sold out on laser-disc before. i thought it was just a record, but it was really a laser-disc. i heard about a new nirvana cd coming out sometime in Christmas. probably just rumors, but that would be cool if some really rare songs were let out. foo fighters are touring right now. that would be a good show to go to. too bad there not stopping by pennsylvania, oh well. well, see you all later. bean **** I think Dave Grohl working with Puff Daddy is a joke. They shouldn't mix rap with grunge. It most likely won't sound good so they shouldn't bother wasting their time. -Jamie **** I think the Puff Daddy/Dave Grohl work will be interesting. I can't really imagine it but I'm anxious to hear it anyway. It's not a combo I would have suggested but I'm sure Dave knows what he's doing so good luck to him...and when will it come out? **** i've come to the realization that anything grohl lays his hands on turns out to be nothing but excellent work. i really admire the guy. when i heard about the puff daddy thing, i was like "oh geez!! but it'll be good." so i've been lookin forward to it. i heard part of it on tv. sounds really good. i can't wait. As for puff daddy, i didn't like him at first. there are very few rap and hip hop songs or artists i like. his music's alright, but he's way overboard on the biggie thing. i mean, i understand his pain, but he's doin everthing about BIG. anyways, he really worked with everyone in the industry, which was interesting, and now with almighty grohl. it'll turn out to be good. i can feel it in my bones. I still think that puff daddy is way overrated, and the foos well underrated. maybe this will balance things out . . nuh. it'll boost both artists up, which is fine with me. AS for dave, I refuse to believe that he's doin it solely for the promotion and popularity. I believe he's genuinely interested in the project, (i would be) and doesn't mind gettin all the extra attention. puff has a really big audience that needs to hear the grohlmeister (?!!!), the grohlminator (huh?), the one and only . . . (hee hee!). --saitam **** Okay, kiddies, the topic for next time: Do you think Bush should be recognized as their own band, or do you agree that they're just a bunch of sell-out pretty-boy Nirvana clones? Or if they are Nirvana clones, is that a good thing or a bad thing? Email all thoughts to Misunivers@aol.com. (My alexandra@nirvanafan.com address doesn't work anymore, for some unknown reason.) =( And send in your thoughts, please!!! No one ever sends in their ideas anymore, and how the heck am I supposed to keep the discussion group part up if no one ever sends me anything? **** Hey, I needed a good laugh. Here's the lyrics to Weird Al Yankovich's parody of "Smells Like Teen Spirit." (If you don't already own the album, it's on "Off the Deep End.") *~Smells Like Nirvana*~

Now I'm mumblin'and I'm screamin' And don't know what I'm singin' Crank the volume, ears are bleedin' I still don't know what I'm singin We're so loud and incoherent Boy, this oughta kill your parents Yeah It's unintel-ligible I just can't get it through my skull It's hard to Bargle nawdle zouss(?) (If you have no clue what I'm talking about, email me and I'll clue you in.) Well, a friend of mine has informed me that it's not just available on laser disc. It's also available on CD...and he apparently got it for only $6, too. So check your local record stores. **** Well, that does it for this issue. I'm outtie. Don't forget to visit the JuNKyArD website for back issues: JuNKyArD -- The Website (https://www.angelfire.com/ar/FarragoPage/junkyard.html) and my personal Nirvana site: ~a farrago of nirvana~ (https://www.angelfire.com/ar/FarragoPage/index.html). As always, feel free to send this to any of your friends, but make sure you tell me who you're sending it to!! I will automatically subscribe them, and if they hate it (which I hope they don't) they can always cancel their subscription. Inform me of any screenname changes BEFORE you make them. This little newsletter has gotten pretty big, and it's annoying to have to send the newsletter out, see that so-and-so isn't an AOL member anymore, sift through one of the many address books i use for this, and find your name and delete it. Then, when you decide to inform me of your change, I probably won't be a happy camper and I might not even consider renewing your subscription. Sorry. As always, this newsletter is !!!!FREE!!!! If it ever gets to where I have to charge you for the cost (which is a moot point because that will never happen) then the newsletter will be canceled. =) But that's never ever gonna happen, so...Don't worry, be happy!!!
