The Ultimate Nirvana Newsletter
Allo peoples!! This great little newsletter thingie has survived all the way to its 6th issue..aren't you happy? By the time we get to our 10th issue, I'll do a big celebration. =)
Anyways, *welcome* all new subscribers!!! Here's a quickie explanation of what the heck this thing is:
Every newsletter I give you a new topic, and you send me your thoughts on that topic. Then I'll publish them in the next issue of the newsletter. I also try to give some news pertaining to the band with every issue...and I'll always send out one .GIF/.JPEG or .WAV/.MIDI with every issue.
Last time, I asked you to send me anything you wanted to on how you felt about the Foo Fighters: Dave's hair and/or goatee, Pat Smear leaving the band, their music, the adorable videos they do..Anything you felt like saying. So here's what you guys had to shout out about:
I personally love the Foo Fighters. I know a lot of people who would disagree with me, but I think they kick ass!! I especially love Dave Grohl. I think he's a really talented musician, and I think he's adorable!! I wasn't too happy when he cut his hair, or when he grew a goatee, but his hair's growing out now and he shaved off his goatee, so I'm happy. About Pat leaving: I was so upset when I found out. I think Pat's so funny, and I'm going to miss him so much. I'm a bit curious to see how this is going to affect the band. I mean they've lost another band member, so now they're half of what they started with. That's gotta affect them somehow. Also, I've heard from a lot of people that Dave's a really big asshole now. I hope that's not true, but there's so many people that have told me that he's a snob now. Lindsay

I don't have either of the Foo Fighter CD's yet. I keep meaning to get the first one because of this *major* obsession affair i have with "I'll stick Around" but...anyway, the goatee thing? I believe I may be the only person who thinks that the picture on the cover of Spin looked very much like Jason Lee in "Chasing Amy". That's just my opinion..I just felt the need to point that out. Anyway, i like the Foo Fighters, and hopefully, one day I will own one of their records. =Þ -m@Y@-

hey yall..it's me again, yackin about the foo fighters as usual...i think all of dave's work is great, just as kurt's was and still is. and the goatee thingy has gots to go...definatley. but what about pat smear? hmm...i think it's sad that he's living but then again it's his life and his decision, let him do what he wants with it, ya know? why do so many people judge other people's lives? it's sick..i personally hate it. anyway, anyone who has the new album (The Colour and the Shape) should definitely take a look (listen) to number 7, My Hero. it's supposed to be a song written for Kurt, and it happens to be a really great song. i wish they would make a "memory" video for it. but then again, kurt is always in my heart. chow...

Geez, people, what's up with not sending me any thoughts on the topic lately? I mean, I've only gotten 3 thoughts for this issue. That's pathetic. And it makes me feel bad. =(

Other than that, there's not really much else happening. Sorry. Nirvana's like in and out of the news a lot, you know?
The topic for next time: What do you think about Dave Grohl collaborating with Puff Daddy (I think he's gonna play guitar and drums) on his new record? He's also producing him. Send all thoughts to alexandra@nirvanafan.com.
Once again, I have no clue what the pic for this time is...I'm just kinda sending it out...
As always, feel free to send this to any of your friends, but make sure you tell me who you're sending it to!! I will automatically subscribe them, and if they hate it (which I hope they don't) they can always cancel their subscription.
New subscribers: If you want to, visit the JuNKyArD website. At the moment, all it really has is a place to subscribe and Issues #1 and #2. But if you still wanna visit...

As always, inform me of any screenname changes BEFORE you make them. This little newsletter has gotten pretty big, and it's annoying to have to send the newsletter out, see that so-and-so isn't an AOL member anymore, sift through one of the many address books i use for this, and find your name and delete it. Then, when you decide to inform me of your change, I probably won't be a happy camper and I might not even consider renewing your subscription. Sorry.
As always, this newsletter IS free, so don't sweat about it.
That's all, folks!!
THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING!!
<3.
Alexandra
P.S. I realize this is probably the ugliest issue I've ever sent out..but...deal with it.
