Okay, as promised, the first issue is finally here!!!! This may be kind of corny, but since it's only my first issue, we're going to have to kind of experiment to see what the people like... Okay, this is kind of a discussion group. And this is how it works: I will mention one new topic in every newsletter. You will then email me with your thoughts on this topic (email all thoughts to alexandra@nirvanafan.com). Then, the next newsletter that comes out, I will list all of your opinions, and then I will post a new topic. Okay? Remember that these are all opinions..please don't get all rude to other people about what they think. I will also be sending out one Nirvana .gif or .jpeg with each newsletter. Sometimes I might be nice and send you a song clip, or maybe even a full length song. Depends on how this is going. Okay, kiddos, the moment you've all been waiting for: the topic of discussion. This time, I want to know what you all think about the book CoMe aS YoU ARe: The story of NIRVANA by Michael Azerrad. If you've never heard of this book, this is a biography of Nirvana. It has interviews with Kurt, Krist, and Dave, among others. It has close analyses of every song on Bleach, Nevermind, and In Utero. It also has a lot of pictures, etc. Now, some people consider this the bible of Nirvana. Other people think it's just a commercial getup once more. There are people who spout off the info in this book to no end just to show they "know" something about Nirvana. So tell me what you think: is this book all it's cracked up to be? Or is it just a bunch of crap Kurt told this guy to lead people on? Are you sick of people who quote this book, just so they can show they "know" a lot about Nirvana, and are "cool."
