I don't know if anyone else caught Pleasantville last night on ABC, but I had forgotten how great that movie is....I must own in on DVD before I leave for Orlando...Ok, so someone buy me a copy! Okay, I know that won't work. I'm sorry most of my posts are about movies, but what other kind of pictures are easier to find than movie posters and such? Plus I love movies and music so tough if you don't like it....Anyway there was this redneck guy that came over last night, he's like 21 but he's like 5' tall and he took one look at the TV screen and hijinks ensued: " Dis movie is stupid" (dont forget to add a country redneck twang) "dis is about dem people who do bad stuff and turned colored"...."I wouldn't do no bad stuff if I turned colored, that's jes' stupid." I had to follow with my best Ralph Wiggum "I sleep in a drawer." Everyone just kind of looked at him and shook their heads...it was great. We wondered if they were going to show the masturbation scene in Pleasantville, well you know cause Disney owns ABC, and I was surprised to find that they left enough to let the audience know what was going on...it is actually a key moment in the movie because it causes the tree outside to catch on fire and the scene where Tobey runs to the Fire Station is just great....anyway if you haven't seen it go out and get it now! | the time my friend Bryan went to see the Blair Witch Project....at the end of the movie no one said a word...you could hear a pin drop, then these two rednecks at the back of the theater stood up and said "I ain't never goin' back in dem (them) woods....dem deer can jus' stay in dem woods!" Anyway that's my redneck story for today... I think tomorrow I'm going to share my classic work story and also my redneck adventure in Serepta Louisiana a few months ago...it's a riot so come back for that at least...You can't afford to miss it! |
