This is the tale of a half-demon, Inuyasha, who seeks the Sacred Jewel of Four Souls in order to transform himself into a full-fledged demon. He meets a young girl named Kagome who is brought back into the fuedal era of Japan from modern times. During their time together, the Sacred Jewel was shattered, and they were whisked off onto an incredible adventure to find all of the scattered pieces. Along the way, they are befriended by Shippo, a young fox demon, Miroku, a monk with questionable ethics, and Sango, a demon slayer. Together they set out to put the jewel back together and to stop an evil demon named Naraku from destroying all that is good.

A very long series indeed, but enough things happen to keep it from getting boring. It's got a great mixutre of fantasy, adventure, comedy, drama, and romance. (The damn thing made me cry!) The only problem is that the series doesn't end. It cuts off unexpectedly and leaves you without peace of mind. Then you have to go read if you want to find out what happens. Crazy bastards.
