I recently read an article about a complaint on how the computer labels 'Master' and 'Slave' are considered "unacceptable" and "offensive". For those who don't know what those terms mean, the 'Master' and 'Slave' terms are mostly used to refer to hard drives. When you have two hard drives on the same cable, one hard drive is considered the 'Master' while the other the 'Slave'. While the terms are used for other aspects of computer hardware, hard drives are where those terms are used most frequently.
Anyway, some people out there found those terms offensive.
Holy shit, how much of a dumb fuck do you hafta be to get offended with shit like that? Do you get offended at the very sight of the swastika while you're at it?
Man, if we have fucks who get offended at this kinda shit, how long is it gonna be before similar fucks start lobbying against things like the phrase "It's nippy outside today" and "a chink in his armor". Gee, why don't they go and ask Burger King to change their 'Whopper' to something else? And what about the phrase "call a spade a spade"? Maybe we should remove those from acknowledgement as well?
I don't understand. Do we live in such a society full of retards that they have nothing better to do than to complain about the stupidest shit? Ooh, I said 'retard', I'm probably offending someone that is mentally handicapped by using that word. Guess what, I don't give a flying fuck.
You know what I find retarded? The fact that the 'Master-Slave' computer terms have been around for such a long time and NOW people notice this shit and decide to complain. Why is it all of a sudden offensive now? Did anyone make a stink about it where those terms FIRST came out, before the computer community grew accustomed to those terms?
And even if someone did but nothing happened then, so why the fuck are they making a stink about it then? If someone made a stink about it then and lost, and are now making a stink about it now, doesn't that mean they're sore losers?
I guess it's because we live in America that people have a freedom to complain about anything. Man, this is one of the reasons why I love America. Sure, we have assholes out there that wanna complain about the stupidest shit, but America allows me to be every bit as much an asshole as them and complain about these people.
