Although listed as a Republic Zoid, the first Blade Liger was created through Organiod evolution. As it's purpose was to defeat the Empire's super weapon, the Geno Saurer, the blades emitt positive electrons that neutralizes the charged particle gun. But anything more then that, such as the Geno Breakers super-charged or the Gunguyarados' hyper-charged particle cannons will short-circut the blade energized shield and seriously damage the Liger. The blades connections to the body have a serious flaw, as if enough pressure is applied to the base they will snap. But the blades themselves are very powerful, able to reach temperatures hot enough to melt most metals on Zi, and can cut down Zoids with the top mounted Machine Cannons . The Blade Liger also retains the shield generators, which are vital to it's two special attacks. The first of which being the High Intensity Shield, which the blades transfer their power to the shield. This also stops all charged particle guns, yet the Liger is still savagely rocked and pushed back. The other is the High Intensity Blades, where the process is reversed, and the blades power is magnified by about three times. This attack can resist all particle attacks except for the Hyper-Charged Particle Cannon, but it takes longer to activate then the shield. Van used this attack to stop Raven's Geno Saurer and the Death Saurer Clone, yet the Blade Liger had to be fired from the Ultrasaurus' Gravity Cannon to stop the Ultimate Death Saurer. The mass produced version of the Blade Liger loses the shield generators and features weaker blades, yet can carry the twin Republic Super Cannons.
