Opening Theme: Change the World

Kagome: Really... unbelievable! There's no hot bath here? Cold!
{Kagome is taking a bath in a lake, and Kaede is sitting on the shore.}
Kaede: Kagome! Don't force yourself and come out!
Kagome: No way! I'm covered with dirts and mud! I can't stand this sticky hair anymore! {dives underwater}
{Kaede notices Inuyasha sitting up in a tree on top of the cliff. Kagome is swimming underwater, think about the past day's events.}
Kagome: Shikon no Tama.. huh? {flashback} (VO) My name is Higurashi Kagome. I was just a normal junior high student. ...But by a mononoke, I was dragged to this feudal age.
Centipede: The joy! I can feel the power flowing in me! My flesh is returning to me! You have it, don't you? You DO have it!
Kagome: Let me go, you monster! Let go!
Kagome: (VO) What they want is the Shikon no Tama that was hidden inside of my body. It was originally in the hands of a woman named Kikyou. But then why was it inside me? A hanyou who wanted to get stronger using the power of the jewel.. his name is Inuyasha, and I was told that I hae to find all the shards of the jewel with him... Dream? No.. this.. this is not a dream!

(Note: This whole scene is still a flashback of Kagome while she's swimming in the lake.)
{Kagome and Inuyasha are in Kaede's hut. Kagome is holding up a glowing Shikon shard.}
Inuyasha: How the hell did this happen!?
Kaede: Stop barking like that, Inuyasha.
Inuyasha: What happened to the jewel!?! The jewel!
Kaede: The enchanted arrow which Kagome had shot... it destroyed not only the monster, but also the Shikon no Tama with it. In other words, the shards of the jewel are now scattered all over the world. I am not sure if there are hundreds, or thousands of them... But even a single piece, in the hands of a strong monster, it will be a disaster...
Kagome: Is it.. my fault? I do feel responsible.. but..
Kaede: Kagome. Inuyasha. You two have to join hands and restore the jewel together!
Kagome: Ehh?!
Inuyasha: Heh. You sure, Kaede-babaa? (old hag) I'm one of the bad-asses who want the jewel.
Kaede: Well, can't be helped.
Kagome: No.. I just wanna go home...
{end flashback}

Kagome: Really! I don't have any power, and Inuyasha's mean to me...
{She breaks the surface of the water, and looks around, only to find Inuyasha looking at her from the cliff above.}
Kagome: Ah!!! Sit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
{The rosary on Inuyasha's neck glows, and he splats to the ground, face first.}
Kaede: Huh? You were there, Inuyasha?
Inuyasha: Damn! I forgot about this rosary and its spell!
{Kagome is getting dressed behind a bush.}
Kagome: You pervert! You peeped on me!
Inuyasha: Heh.. Feh! You nut, I was just...
(Note: Inuyasha's "Feh!" is pronounced like "Keh!". It actually translates to something like "Bah!", but Viz uses "Feh!" in their manga translations...)
Kaede: {holds up Shikon shard} ...Looking for a chance to steal this, right?
Inuyasha: You knew huh, Kaede-baba?
Kaede: Really, you are so troublesome.. Kagome's ability to detect the Shikon no Tama.. and Inuyasha, your power.. Without both, it is impossible to collect all the shards!
Inuyasha: I know, I know! You want me to join forces with that annoying girl, right?
Kagome: You! You really hate me, don't you?
{Inuyasha looks up to see Kagome in Kikyou's miko robes and her hair tied up like Kikyou's. He looks surprised, and remembers Kikyou sitting on a hill with her bow.}
Inuyasha: Kikyou...
{Kagome is shaking out her school uniform, and Inuyasha has a very peeved look on his face.}
Inuyasha: Grrrrr...
Kaede: That is some face you got there, Inuyasha.
{Inuyasha slowly inches away.}

{Meanwhile, Yura is sitting in a cave with her skulls.}
Yura: Hmm? I thought it disappeared 50 years ago... but the Shikon no Tama has reapeared. This's gonna be fun..
{She picks up a skull and starts combing it's hair, while laughing.}

{Back at the lake. A lady has appeared from behind a bush.}
Villager: Kaede-sama?
Kaede: Hmm?
Villager: My daughter is...
Kaede: Hmm, is that so? Well, I will come with you. (To Kagome and Inuyasha) I will return first. Try not to fight.
{The villager and Kaede leave.}
Inuyasha: Hey.
Kagome: What?
Inuyasha: Take it off.
{We hear sounds of a violent beating, and then see Inuyasha with a huge lump on his head. Kagome had hit him on the head with a fair-sized rock.}
Inuyasha: Hey you... why did you...
Kagome: You pervert!
Inuyasha: {points to Kagome's school uniform} I didn't say "get naked"! Just put back on those weird clothes!
Kagome: Because I look like Kikyou?
{Inuyasha looks as if he's about to say something, but stops and makes and face.}
Inuyasha: Feh! It's got nothing to do with you!
Kagome: Geez... he's more immature than a junior high kid. By the way, if you keep acting so offensixe toward me, there is no way we can...
Inuyasha: So what? I can do this by myself.
Kagome: Oh, is that so? You're okay without me, huh?
{Inuyasha's ears twitch twice as Kagome walks past him.}
Inuyasha: Where're you going?
{Kagome picks up her school uniform and starts walking away.}
Kagome: I've decided. I'm going home. Sayonara, Inuyasha.
Inuyasha: Home, hey!
Kagome: My name is "Kagome", not "hey".
Inuyasha: Wait! You!
Kagome: My name is not "you", either.
Inuyasha: I said wait! Hey! You!
Kagome: What? There's no use trying to stop me!
Inuyasha: You have the shard, right? Give it to me before you go...
Kagome: Oh, this? {holds up pouch containing the shard} Sit!
{Inuyasha splats to the ground, and Kagome walks away.}
Inuyasha: Why you...
Kagome: I'll keep it myself. Really, I can't believe him! That Inuyasha, he's never called my name even once!

{The scene switches to Kaede's village, and that villager's house.}
Villager: Over here, Kaede-sama.
Kaede: Hmm... she just fell ill?
{The villager's daughter is lying on a mat on the floor.}
Villager: Yes. She was so healthy this morning, but...
Kaede: Let's see...
{Kaede approaches the girl, when she feels something.}
Kaede: Get back!
{The girl floats out of her bed and into the air.}
Villager: Dau, daughter?
{The girl has some threads attached to her arms, and they make her lift it.}
Kaede: Hair?
{A butcher knife nearby starts to move. It flies into the girl's hand, and she swipes it.}

{The scene switches, and we see Kagome standing by the Bone-Eater's Well.}
Kagome: The well that I came out of.. {flashback to when she came out of the well} I'm sure.. I'll be able to return from there... {looks down into well} Bones...
Kaede: (VO) We call it the Bone-Eater's Well. That's where we dispose of the dead bodies of the monsters. After a few days, the bodies mysteriously disappear.
{Kagome sees some bones down there and remembers the centipede.}
Kagome: This.. is the bones of that centipede monster... {drops uniform and crouches down} No.. I'm too scared to go in.. What should I do?
{Kagome sits down and notices a leaf get cut by a silver thread in the air. She stands up, and the thread slices her cheek, making it bleed. Then she sees threads everywhere.}
Kagome: This.. this is..? Hair?
{Kagome looks up and sees Yura, who has the hair tied around her fingers.}
Yura: Hmm? You can see it, huh? My Cage of the Comb?But just being able to see it won't be enough.
Kagome: Who are you?
{Yura laughs.}

{Inuyasha is flying(?) towards Kaede's village.}
Kagome: (VO) I'm going home. Sayonara, Inuyasha.
Inuyasha: Feh! It's better without that girl!
{Inuyasha lands, and sees all the village girls floating in the air armed with axes.}
Inuyasha: What do you want?
{The girls raise their weapons and start floating toward Inuyasha.}
Inuyasha: Heh! Interesting! You want a fight with ME?

Yura: I am Sakasagami no Yura. (Yura of Hair) You don't have to remember me. You're about to die anyway!
{She whips her hair threads at Kagome, and they her clothes a bit.}
Yura: The Shikon no Tama, I'll take it.
{She pulls a hair, and snatches the pouch containing the shard away from Kagome. She opens to pouch, and to her dismay, finds only a single shard.}
Yura: Oh no! Look at what you did to the Shikon no Tama.. Where are the rest?
Kagome: Give it back!
Yura: Answer my question. Where are the rest of it?
Kagome: I, I don't know.
Yura: Is that so? {picks up a sword} Then.. you can die now! {lunges at Kagome}

Eyecatch

Yura: Is that so? {picks up a sword} Then.. you can die now!
{She lunges at Kagome, and Kagome falls backwards into the well. Yura throws her sword down the well too, but it comes back up.}
Yura: You can't escape me! Huh? Gone.. What was she.. that girl?

{Back at the village. Inuyasha is still surrouded by the girls.}
Inuyasha: Eh? Well, well, well... If it isn't the village girls.. What do you want? You finally decided to get rid of me now? Then I won't hold back.
Kaede: Wa-wait, Inuyasha!
Inuyasha: Huh?
{Kaede is crawling on the ground. We can see blood on her shoulder.}
Kaede: Don't hurt those children!
Inuyasha: Kaede-baba... {jumps over to her} What happened to you, that blood and all?
Kaede: Is, is that all you have to say??
Inuyasha: Don't kill them? They're trying to kill me!
Kaede: They are only being controlled by someone else right now. Ka-Kagome? Isn't Kagome here?
Inuyasha: She went back home. Well, I can take care of this myself!
Kaede: No! Don't hurt the village girls!
Inuyasha: Don't be ridiculous, Kaede-baba. They almost killed you, didn't they?
Kaede: Can't you see, Inuyasha? You have to destroy the one who is manipulating them...
{The girls lunge at Inuyasha, and he dodges.}
Inuyasha: There's no time for your nonsense!
Kaede: Then Inuyasha! The hair! Cut off the hair controlling the girls!
Inuyasha: Hair? I don't see any?
{We see Yura sitting in a tree, moving the hair with her fingers, much like a pupeteer would do with strings.}
Yura: Then... I'll teach you two a lesson!
{Inuyasha tries to punch one of the girls, but she dodges. Then all the girls come down on him, and bind him up with hair.}
Kaede: No! Run, Inuyasha!
{Inuyasha's "all tied up". Yura laughs. The girls try to hit Inuyasha again, but he runs away and they fall to the floor.}
Inuyasha: Heh! Is this guy stupid or what? Like this, even if I can't see the hair... I can drag out the one at the end!
{Inuyasha starts pulling on the hair, but it grows longer out of Yura's fingers.}
Yura: Well, sorry about that. Now, shall we finish this off?
{Yura makes a cats-cradle-like pattern with the hair, and throws Inuyasha against a tree.}
Kaede: I-Inuyasha!
{Yura throws out more hair, binding Inuyasha even tighter.}
Inuyasha: Damn!!
{Inuyasha struggles to free himself from the hair. He finally gets loose, but cutting the tree down in the process. Yura drops her hold on the hair.}
Yura: This feel... his flesh wasn't cut...
{Inuyasha is clutching his neck, breathing heavily.}
Inuyasha: *pant pant* ..I thought I was a goner.
Kaede: If you were a normal human being, your neck would be gone by now.
{Now more villagers are floating in the air, holding weapons.}
Kaede: The village people...
Inuyasha: Reinforcements? This's getting worse.
Kaede: Inuyasha. Leave this to me and.. escape.
Inuyasha: You talk big for an almost dead person, Kaede-ba-
{Kaede falls to the ground.}
Inuyasha: Kaede-baba!
{Kaede groans in pain.}
Inuyasha: I guess I have no choice.

{We see Yura, still up in her tree, looking at a strand of hair.}
Yura: Huh? Eh.. What a pretty silver hair... (She's referring to Inuyasha's hair.)

{Inuyasha is flying with Kaede on his back.}
(Note: I'm not sure if I should call it flying.. it's more like leaping, really. He has to touch the ground and jump back up every once in awhile.)
Inuyasha: Hang on tight, Kaede-baba!
Kaede: Be.. be careful, Inuysha... The hair is...
{Inuyasha passes through some hair. They break when they touch his kimono.}
Inuyasha: What did you say, old hag?
Kaede: Nah, forget it.

{Yura is swinging through the air on her hair (^^ that rhymes!) like Tarzan.}
Yura: He's stubborn.. and fun! And this silver hair... I want it!

{The sun is setting, and Inuyasha has laid Kaede down somewhere in the forest.}
Inuyasha: You hag. You said you can see the hair, didn't you?
{Kaede nods.}
Inuyasha: Tell me where's the end of the hair!
Kaede: Don't ask for something impossible. In my current shape.. also, with my bad eyesight.. Quickly, get Kagome!
Inuyasha: You mean SHE can see it?
Kaede: Yes.. Against this opponent, Kagome... Without Kagome... we can't win.
{Kaede closes her eyes.}

{We now see Kagome lying in the well in modern-day Tokyo.}
Kagome: Ah..! this is.. Inside of the well.. Right! I.. was attacked by a girl.. and I fell in the well...
Grandpa: We looked into the well so many times already!
Souta: But still! I'm telling you, sis fell in there!
{Kagome's grandpa shines a flashlight down into the well.}
Grandpa: Weren't you dreaming or something?
Souta: I was not!
{They see Kagome on the bottom of the well.}
Souta: G-Grandpa!
Kagome: Souta!
{Kagome is out of the well now, and she's looking around outside.}
Kagome: I'm back.. back in my time...
Grandpa: Kagome! Where've you been for three days!? We've been so worried!
Souta: Sis, what's with that clothes?
Kagome: It's not a dream.. I'm back!
{Kagome runs over to her grandpa and starts to cry.}
Kagome: Waah!! Grandpa! I was so scared!
Grandpa: Kagome! What in the world...

{Back in Sengoku Jidai, where Kaede is lying. Inuyasha is digging a big hole like a dog.}
Inuyasha: Good. This should be enough. Kaede-baba, this's the best I can do for you. I'll bury you here.
{Inuyasha has put Kaede into the hole and covered it, leaving only her head and chest visible.}
Kaede: ...Hey. I'm not dead YET.
Inuyasha: I'm saying, hide here. If I remember, that is.
Kaede: Seriously? You better not forget.
{Inuyasha covers up Kaede's chest with leaves and gets up.}
Kaede: Don't forget, Inuyasha!
Inuyasha: Okay, okay! I won't!
{He speeds off.}
Inuyasha: Damn it, that girl! Where's she at times like this!?

{Kagome is taking a bath (O_O with green water!) at home.}
Kagome: Ahhhh... I'm so happy...

{Then we see Inuyasha running through the forest again, and Yura pulling her hair.}
Yura: Wherever you hide, you can't escape me.

{The scene switches back to Kagome. She's out of the bath, and pulling her fingers through her hair.}
Kagome: It feels so good.
