Resident Evil 3: Nemesis

Producer: Capcom
System: Playstation, Dreamcast, PC
Year: 1999

Overview: Third in the Resident Evil saga. Not much else to say than that.

Story: At the same time Leon and Claire are fighting for their lives against the deadly mutants, Jill Valentine sets off to find a way out of Raccoon City. Before she can leave, however, she’ll find herself contending with Umbrella’s newest creation, a super bio-mutant known as “the nemesis”, an ultra-strong creature that is programmed specifically to hunt down all members of STARS.

Graphics: That is a totally hot outfit Jill has on. Other than that, I must say that the graphics have improved a bit over the other two.

Sound: Need I say it again?

Gameplay: Once again, the gameplay is not much different from before. There was a convenient new button combination that was added that allows you to do a full 180 degree turn-around. This was a very useful function, and this was the first game it was implemented in.

Challenge: Again, same as the last two games. Although there was a new mini-game added called “The Mercenaries”. It’s pretty tough, but if you do well enough, you can get some great new weapons to use in the main game.

Final Rating: 9/10 The series continues to climb in terms of quality, not that it started out bad, of course, but every little bit is good.
