There are no option cards in this game, and it's much more simplistic than the original Digi-Battle, and it plays even more like "Rock, Paper, Scissors" than Digi-Battle as well. In the upper left corner of each card is one of three symbols that represent that digimon's attack type: Energy (lightning bolt), Crush (a starburst), or Ability (a spiral, swirly-thing). When each player sends a card out, this is what you look at first. Energy beats Ability, Ability beats Crush, and Crush beats Energy. If both cards have the same attack type, you next look at the number on the upper right side of the card. That's the digimon's attack power, and whichever's is higher is the winner. If the attack powers are the same as well, it's a draw. Note that none of the Hybrids have an attack type. If a Hybrid is involved, you skip that and look right at the attack power.
There is also a five-digit code at the top of each card. If you have a D-Scanner, you can enter that code into it to be able to call that particular digimon in battle. Entering a code from one of the Hybrids will get you its corresponding spirit. For example, the code on Agnimon's card gets you the Human Spirit of Fire.
A total of three sets were released. The first two kind of melded together as far as the card numbers are concerned. All of the Hybrids in series 1 are gold-lettered, the Hybrids in series 2 are all silver-lettered. Thus, they are all quite rare. Random cards may be holofoils. Since I'm such a nice guy, I'll give the D-Scanner codes along with the card names in the list below. Note that it's not complete yet; since I don't have all of the cards (production was rather limited).
