| Toutousai said that the fact that Tenseiga chose to save him meant the sword had chosen him as his true master. It is said that the potential of the Tenseiga can only be used by someone who has the true heart to heal. And if the sword chose Sesshoumaru as it's true master does that mean hes not as cold hearted as we first believed? The Tenseiga can not be used to kill we see this when Sesshoumaru swung it at Jaken when he asked what kind of sword his father left him. With the Tenseiga, he is capable of seeing what a typical person can't: the pall-bearers that comes to take the dead with them. He can then use the sword to kill the pall-bearers- which would then bring the dead person back to life. He uses the sword to revive a little girl named Rin and even though he declares it as a test, one must wonder why he really saved her. And doesn't the fact that he was able to use the sword prove he not as black hearted as everyone believes him to be? |
