The Meaning of Magus
Magus is a word meaning a sorcerer or a magician. In the New Testament, one of the wise men from the East traditionally held to be three, who traveled to Bethlehem to pay homage to the infant Jesus was also known as Magus. It was also the name for a member of the Zoroastrian priestly caste of the Medes and Persians.
However I used the term Magus for the name of my senshi because it simply meant magician and the whole idea of this senshi was that they were a senshi dedicated to protecting Yami in one of my fanfictions also Yami’s favourite card is the Dark Magician so I thought the term Magus would be perfect for the name.
The Meaning of Halo
A Halo is a circular band of colored light around a light source, as around the sun or moon, caused by the refraction and reflection of light by ice particles suspended in the intervening atmosphere. Or a luminous ring or disk of light surrounding the heads or bodies of sacred figures, such as saints, in religious paintings; a nimbus. A Halo is also the aura of majesty or glory surrounding a person or thing that is regarded with reverence, awe, or sentiment.
This name was chosen because of its first meaning, they are a senshi devoted to protecting the planet where as Sailor Moon’s inner senshi’s main goal is to protect her.
The Meaning of Malign
Malign is basically a word that means evil: To make evil, harmful, and often untrue statements about; speak evil of, evil in disposition, nature, or intent, evil in influence; injurious, having or showing malice or ill will; malevolent.
This name was chosen for Dementia’s senshi because the main senshi are based upon the four horsemen of the apocalypse and Dementia is Sailor Apocalypse herself. It just seemed fitting that the Malign Senshi and Dementia were based upon this.
