 Sango is a demon exterminator with a goal to defeat Naraku and revenge her family. At age 16, shes already quite proficient and has a weapon called "Hiraikotsu" which is basically a giant boomerang. Her companion, Kiara, is a demon cat that can change form - from an innocent cute kitty to an enormous lion that you really wouldn't want to meet. Kiara is fiercely loyal to Sango and she is apparently very strong - able to carry 2 to 3 people on her back. Sango's family are basically all deceased, due to Naraku's rampages. Sango's brother, Kohaku, was also a demon exterminator who is now under Naraku's commands. In reality, Kohaku is a walking corpse; meaning he should be dead but because of the shikon shard in his back, hes still alive. Every so often, hes found in the series, causing chaos - and even tries to kill Sango. Sango loves her brother very much and this causes alot of heartache as she continuously tries to revert Kohaku back to his normal self. Sango is extremely determined and was tricked by Naraku into believing that Inuyasha and the rest, were responsible for the death of her entire family. Sango is basically the only survivor of her village, which was burnt by demons - likely under Naraku's command. Sango's weapon, Hiraikotsu, means "Come Flying Skill." She also has "Doku-fun" which is a type of gas bomb which she just throws at the enemy, and the bomb does the rest. Sango, however, needs a mask when she uses this attack. |
