 The main character of the anime, Inuyasha, is a half-demon, hence the name of the anime. InuYasha's name has two parts. Inu means Dog, and Yasha means a small anonying slightly on the piksqueak side Demon. Hes the son of the Great Dog Demon of the Western Lands - Lord Inuyoukai. InuYasha's half-brother is Sesshoumaru and InuYasha's mother was a human, supposedly upper-class. InuYasha craves the Shikon Tama Shards to turn into a full youkai. Since hes a hanyou (half-demon), at one night a month, where theres a full moon, InuYasha turns completely human - thus leaving him vunerable for attacks. InuYasha's power reduces and he cannot protect himself from other demons at that time. Weapons: Tetsusaiga, a sword inherited from his father, made from InuYasha's father's fang. Tetsusaiga, at first looks like a piece of junk, but it can be transformed into a tremendously powerful piece of junk^_~ It was fitted and joined together, by somewhere in the Episode 40's by InuYasha's own fang. It can be used to make 'the wounds of the winds' which is formed when two youkais fight and youki (evil essence) clash. InuYasha with this sword, can mow down loads... But over time, it can only protect humans. InuYasha can also use his claws, with attacks like Sankon Tesusou. Its basically known as, "Soul Shattering Iron Claw" and is a basic claw attack. InuYasha tends to yell out his attack while hes doing it though. Tetsusaiga means "Steel Cleaving Fang" or "Iron Pulverising Fang." He also has Hijin Ketsusou (Airborne Blade Blood Claw), Kaze no Kizu (Wound of the Wind), Bakryuha (Ultimate attack of Tetsusaiga) and the full power of transformed Tetsusaiga. InuYasha cannot decide between Kikyo (his past love) and Kagome (his new love). InuYasha just can't seem to get rid of his horrible past. |
