“Will you two quit fighting and

marry.”- Amaya talking to Evie and Shanen
Amaya Ran Xavier

Blood Type: O

Appearance: Amaya’s most common outfit
consists of a red bra tank, a black short skirt, black knee-high leather boots,
and a black trenchcoat. She sometimes wears black sunglasses to hide her eyes,
but she usually leaves them off. Her hair is shoulder-length and left down.
In her cat form, she is an all
black cat, and the only thing keeping her from looking like a normal feline is
her front paws, which resemble human hands.
Personality: Amaya is a mixture of
emotions. One moment she can be deadly serious, and the next, she can be as hyper
as a three year old on a sugar high. Probably why Evie keeps her distance.
Amaya at one time was a very serious individual, but after being with her
daughter, she has loosened up a bit. Around her (ex) husband, she tends to be
very joking, teasing him about small things here and there.
Amaya has a tendency to listen in
on other people’s thoughts.
Past: Born in London, England to a
Japanese father and a English mother, Amaya lived a pretty comfortable life.
She was a very popular individual among her grade school peers, and she had a
loving family. When she was 10, however, Amaya woke up one day…
…and found that her eyes looked
different.
This wasn’t commonplace to wake up
and find yourself with cat-like eyes, so Amaya instantly went to her parents.
Her parents, as loving and caring
as they were, realized that their daughter was a mutant. Because they didn’t
want to frighten her, they did not tell her this until two years later. To fix
the eye problem, Amaya was prescribed contact lenses.
Two years later, when Amaya was 12,
she shifted for the first time. It was in the middle of class, too. During a
lesson on cats in her Small Animal Care class, Amaya started to drift off to
sleep, her mind on cats. It was then that she actually started to shift into a
cat. Granted, this both scared and amazed her classmates. Her teacher, a member
of the Friends of Humanity, instantly reported this to his leader.
For the next 10 years, Amaya was on
the run. She didn’t know where to go or where to turn to, and her parents had
been murdered 5 years ago. It was then that she met Charles Francis Xavier.
And boy, did she fall in love with
him.
They married after only a month,
and not long afterwards, Amaya had a baby girl, whom she named Evina.
This happy couple wasn’t to last
long, though. Charles had other matters to attend to, namely, his school for
mutants, and while Amaya was given the opportunity to come with him, she turned
it down, and divorced him. She gained full custody of their daughter.
Unfortunately, little Evina would
later turn out to be a mutant, too. When Evie was 9, her powers began to
manifest, and Amaya realized that she couldn’t deny it much longer. They then
moved to Dallas, Texas, where they lived for 3 years. Finally, when Evie was
12, Amaya realized that Evie needed to learn how to use her powers, and
enrolled her in Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. She sent her daughter to
New York, and stowed away in her feline form, as she had never revealed her
powers to Evie.
Evie traveled to New York by train,
being that an airplane wasn’t the very best place for a cat. It was after she
had arrived at the school that Amaya finally chose to reveal herself.
And now…Amaya has made it a point
to hook up Evie and Shanen, not to mention act as a drill instructor for the
two, as well as Yume. At Xavier’s request, she teaches Music, a course set up
to take away some of the stress from all the training.
