Syria was born into a nomadic tribe of Mithra residing within the nation of Windhurst. There was nothing extraordinary about her. Around her 10th birthday, her life would be eternally changed when the Beastmen slaughtered her tribe one fateful night. She would have well joined them had not a mysterious Dark Knight interfered at the last moment. With his powerful sword, he slaughtered every last one of the Beastmen, leaving nothing but blood and carnage in his wake. Syria would then spend the next four years under his care, and not once did she hear the name of her savior. He was a quiet man, but he spent his days hiding from sunlight as best he could. Then, oddly enough, one day he left her in the care of a Mithra woman named Annette Lockworthe and vanished as though he had never existed. For the next five years, Syria would be living an ordinary life once again. But as time passed, her curiosity took hold and she began to worry about her rescuer, knowing that she may never see him again. It would be five years after he had left her that she would finally stand her ground and take up the sword.

Though not a born fighter, Syria was struck with a passion for the blade and for the open plains leading to adventure after she made up her mind to venture forth to search for the man who had saved her, which will ultimately lead her face-to-face with the Beastmen once again. Determined to make up for the years lost that she could have well prepared herself, she treks outside her humble village for the first time in five years with a sword in hand...
