Ehmm...
I'm pretty lazy, but when
I really want to get something
done, I won't let anything
get in my way. But it's
not really that I'm lazy,
it's just that I don't really
want to do things I don't
want to do. There's a differnce.
I try to be different -
not your normal asian. I
tend to be into stuff that
not alot of people are in
to. I try to stand out.
I try to be funny.. and
not, then you don't have
a good sense of humor. I
do crazy things and try
to have fun, no matter what
I'm doing. School or work
or just hanging around with
some random people, I try
to have fun. If things are
too plain, I try to stir
up some trouble. I'm pretty
outgoing at times but when
I'm tired, I just don't
care. I like to chew straws
and tap on things with my
fingers.
Speaking
of my fingers... they're
never still, they always
have to be doing something
- tapping on desks, twirling
pens, playing guitar, trying
to make weird shapes. I
can't sit still at times...
I like to sing... even though
I can't hit the very notes,
but I like to try. I like
to make up stuff and drum
along with it with my fingers
and feet. As you can tell,
I'm one of those music freaks.
I like listening to music
because most of it's emotion
- either through the lyrics
or just the music itself.
You may be wondering how
the music could be emotional
without the lyrics. Well...
if you're into music as
much as me, you'll understand.
I tend to listen to a lot
of Japanese music. I don't
understand what they're
saying most of the time
but I still love it. I think
I like it more than American
music. It's just so different.
I like Jrock (The Pillows,
Go!Go!7188, Asian Kungfu
Generation, Shaka Labbits,
Ellegarden) cuz it's just
so wild. Makes you wanna
sing along and bob your
head. I also like Visual
Kei (Dir en Grey, Malice
Mizer, Due le Quartz) because
I find it very unique and
facinating. Some of you
might not even know what
Visual Kei is and when you
see pics of it, you'll be
like "Eww..."
but trust me, you can't
judge a book by its cover.
VK music is so crazy and
dark. All the instrumentalists
are so good. I dunno, but
if you listen to their stuff,
you might like it. I also
like classical music and
stuff with piano ("For
Fruits Basket" by Ritsuko
Okazaki, "Fly Me to
the Moon" by Frank
Sinatra, "Canon in
D" by Pachelbel) cuz
they're soothing and emotional.
Now don't me wrong, I still
like American music, just
not as much as Japanese
music. I like to listen
to alot of Emopunk bands
(Weezer, Ozma, Yellowcard,
Finch). The stuff they sing
about are touching and the
tunes are catchy. I'm not
into the newer bands like
Puddle of Mud or Nickelback
or anything. Yeah, so that's
about it for music.
I also like
anime. So what's so good
about anime? Well, what's
so good about movies? The
story, the music, the characters.
It seems in anime, that
everything fits in so nicely.
And you don't have to worry
about bad acting like in
real life - just bad dubbing
(if it's not in Japanese,
that's why I prefer subtitles).
It seems like in a lot of
anime I watch, you get sucked
in it. Like you get so attached
to it because they develop
the characters and the story
so well that you've become
a part of that series. That's
why it gets so emotional
sometimes. I dunno, it's
hard to explain I guess.
But my favorite types of
animes are Romance/Comedy
types (Fruits Basket, His
and Her Circumstances) and
some of the crazy weird
funny ones (FLCL, Jungle
wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu)
and some of the action/adventure
kinds (Cowboy Bebop, Noir,
Naruto). I dunno, I just
enjoy watching anime. Sometimes
even more than movies.
Yeah so
anyway, I use to skateboard.
One of those skater kids,
I suppose. Skated for 2
years straight, that's all
we'd do back then - go skate,
eat, play games, go skate
some more. Just me, my bro,
and a couple of friends.
I remember we use to take
the trucks off the board
and play around with it
on a trampoline. Heh...
fun times. I started skating
again for half a year until
I sprang my ankle twice.
It was bad. It was swollen
as big as a tennis ball,
but it was kind of fun for
me because I got to use
crutches for the first time
and go around school with
them. I remained using them
even though I didn't need
to, heh. I guess the teachers
never caught on or they
just didn't care. Either
way it was funny when they
see me running down the
hall without using crutches.
It was cool got I got out
of class early and I got
to go to lunch early as
well.
Hmm... I
also like playing games
- video games, computer
games, drinking games (hehe),
card games, and I guess
just any type. But I don't
like playing single player
games because you can't
challenge any other person.
I can stand some like the
Final Fantasy series or
any other game that has
good gameplay and has a
great storyline. Kinda like
Grandia 2 - the gameplay
was awesome, and the plot
was beautiful. The depressing
parts makes you actually
want to cry. I dunno. I
guess you can say I'm a
competitive guy, but not
to the point where I'll
get mad when I lose, but
instead I'll look back and
try to figure out where
I went wrong and fix it.
I guess you can look at
it as one of my strengths.
Do what you gotta do, but
live and learn. I hate bragging
and people who brag. The
only time I brag is when
I'm playing someone really
competitive and just want
to push his/her buttons
(and hope I don't get punched/slapped).
I like Player vs Player
games (Guilty Gear, SNK,
Street Fighter, Marvel vs
Capcom) cuz they seem so
simple but there's a whole
lot more to it than just
button mashing. You gotta
use techniques and strategies
to beat your opponent. I
hate playing people who
suck. I mean it's great
to show off but it gets
boring. It's better to teach
the person how to play and
get better rather than beating
them senselessly. I guess
it's sort of like Chess.
You have to develop strategy
and plan ahead. Know what
your opponent's going to
do and be prepared for it.
It kind of sounds like an
Real Time Strategy game
(Warcraft, Starcraft, Red
Alert). Same principles
here. I also like online
RPGs (Diablo 2, Ragnarok
Online) because you get
to run around and Player
Kill random people (hehe).
There's a whole list of
types of games like Counter-Strike,
Mahjong, VC, and others
that I won't get into.
Yeah, I
also like to think when
I'm bored. I think about
stuff like what would happen
if I had died, or what happens
when one dies - where does
your soul go? I'm not a
very religous kind of guy.
If someone wants to talk
to me about religion, I
know very little. I dunno,
I guess I never really looked
into that stuff. In case
you're wondering, I'm not
affiliated with any religion.
I dunno... maybe if I think
hard enough... I'll learn
the secrets to the universe.
