| Additional Info: | Synopsis:-In this visually dazzling anime film version of the popular romance OAV, the audience is treated to both a retread and a newly embodied vision of the characters of "Belldandy", "Keichi", "Urd" and "Skuld". Operating on a groundwork of some spectacular effects and rampant CGI, the animators take a slight detour from the often slow-paced and leisurely crafted essence of the original. The beautiful and very comely "Belldandy" has some of her many dormant emotions shaken with in this romantic romp; which is perhaps the ideal description befitting this breezy yet engaging love story of both loyality and faith. The powerfully menancing and all-self inducing "Celestine" is a powerful monger banished from the eternal heavens from which he spanned. After 1000s of years in captivity, encapsulated into a nonsensical-looking and depressing lifeform of a Asian-mask looking visage; Celestine seeks elaborate revenge (rather self-described revival) of mankind and their ever present audulation of the things which Celestine believes both destroys and creates joy for the humans. On the latter end of crisis is once again the lovely "Belldandy" and her loyal man "Keichi Morisato". The hits hit far harder in this sci-fi/fantasy action romp of sorts. The wise and all-knowing "Payorth" overlooking the madness from the heavens supplies most of the film's exposition elements, as her legion of 'heaven's helpers' attempt to put to end an eloborate mess which the Celestine has created via a deadly virus and an all-out plan to switch bodies with the sometimes naive but brave Keichi. Well acted and animated, this romp however is most noticable for it's finely-tuned love story and all-out rush of a climax; an ending in both eye-candy and scope which echos such greats as "Akira", "Tenchi: The Movie" and "The Wings of Honneamise".
