In terms of replay, Phantasy Star Online is a major addiction which I have sadly enough poured over 250 hours of my life into. The speed at which you progress in this game is perfect, in that the game's difficulty level is perfect, you are always making progress while playing the game, and there is just so much to do that you keep on coming back for more. The growth of your mag and the quests are a huge part of this. First, the mag is a creature which you feed items, which ultimately strengthen the tiny robot and boost your stats, allowing you to make progress simply by feeding your tiny creature. The quests add variety to the gameplay, in that they change the layout of levels, give you computer controlled characters to aid you in combat, and give you various goals that must be completed in order to earn cash. Overall, if your worried about getting your money's worth, you can rest easy with this title.

In terms of the way you can play Phantasy Star, there are single and multiplayer modes. Single player is excellent, but unfortunately the dungeon crawling can get a little repetitive. However, as an online title, this game is one of the best. It is just so damn addicting. Its great just being able to go online, join a game, and bash on monsters while talking to other humans like yourself who are helping you against the increased amount and difficulty of the creatures. The variety of classes also complement each other perfectly, making the online experience all the better. To top it all off, the boss battles rival what I've seen in Zelda, except now you can multiply the fun with multiple people! You really can't go wrong with this game.

In conclusion, Phantasy Star Online is a must own title. It is easily the best action RPG ever created, and provides a great single player experience and one of the best online experiences you will ever get from a game. Great visuals, gameplay, and overall originality all combine to make the masterpiece that is Phantasy Star Online one of the greatest videogames of all time.
