Well, this isn't really a level, but it is the race I'm speaking about. People who are Saiya-jins have both black hair and black eyes. They all have tail, russet in color, which allows them to, when a full moon is out, go Oozaro. More about this in that stage. Full blooded Saiya-jins include Vegeta, Bardock, Brolli, Fosha, King Vegeta, Raditz, Nappa, Torra, and many more full bloods that were not shown on DBZ and lived on planet Vegeta (planet Plant), where the Saiya-jins roamed. Half saiya-jins include Trunks, Mirai Trunks, Gohan, and Goten. Pan is only a quarter.
Super Saiya-jin
This is the first level in which very few Saiya-jins have achieved. When super Saiya-jin, a Saiya-jin's features changes, as does their stength. The Saiya-jin's eyes turn a greenish color and the hair turns gold. (It's yellow, really) The saiya-jins hair also rises, but in Vegeta's case, stays the same. The Saiya-jin's strength improves tremendously also. In order to go super, the Saiya-jin usually must be pissed. The first to achieve this level was Kakkorot, in the Freiza saga, when Krillen died. Other Saiya-jins who have this abillity are Vegeta, Brolli, Trunks, both Mirai and chibi, Gohan and Goten. My theory, as is a few other people I know, is the reason why Goten and chibi Trunks when ssj early and easily was because their fathers could go ssj when they were born.
Super Saiya-jin Ultra
This level is one of the least levels used when fighting. The reason for this is because the when super Saiya-jin ultra, the Saiya-jin's muscles grow bigger and bulkier. This makes the Saiya-jin slower and though this level is stronger then Ssj, without dexterity, your screwed in battle. The Saiya-jin's features are mostly the same as when ssj, green eyes, gold hair, only the size of their muscles increase. The first to go super Saiya-jin ultra was Vegeta, but others say it was Mirai Trunks.
Super Saiya-jin 2
Super Saiya-jin 2 makes a Saiya-jin much stronger than ssj. The physical features are still the same as super saiya-jin, only this time the Saiya-jins hair grows slightly longer and in Gohan's case, makes him look older. The first to go ssj2 was Gohan in the Cell saga.
Super Saiya-jin 3
One of the stranges looking (not to mention ugliest) stages. This stage is obviously stronger than ssj and ssj2 though the physical features are different. The eyebrows are now totally got, and replaced with the neangrothol look. The hair is much longer as well. The Saiya-jins that can go ssj3 are Kakkorot and Gotenks.
Super Saiya-jin 4
This level is one of my favorites. When ssj4, the saiya-jin's strength amasing.. Super Saiya-jin 4 is quite different from the other super Saiya-jin levels, for the physical features are totally different. The hair is ebony, down, and a bit longer. They have their tail and redish fur on their chest. This level can be attained only when a Saiya-jin goes through the Golden Oozaru stage, and then has an extreme desire, or driving force, that allows them to focus the rage, and use it's power to condense into a smaller form. This form is Super Saiya-jin 4! ^^ Another requirement for going into this level is you must have a tail. The only Saiya-jins able to go Ssj4 are Vegeta, Kakkorot, and their fusion, Gogeta.
Oozaru
When a full moon is present, the Saiya-jin will transform into a giant ape-like creater called Oozaru. Going Oozaru is invoked by the moonlight, and it's tail is really the source of it all. Without it's tail, they Saiya-jin wouldn't be able to go through with the transformation. The Oozaru can be contolled or raging..depends on the Saiya-jin. If the Saiya-jin isn't experianced, it's Oozaru form would be uncontrolable, destroying much in it's path, but through practice, one can learn to regain consciousness in that form, and fight accordingly.
Golden Oozaru
If a Saiya-jin goes Super Saiya-jin while in Oozaru state, he or she will have golden fur, and a large amount of power, greater then most of the Saiya-jin levels. It is possible for a Saiya-jin to go Golden Oozaru without ever going super. This transformation is only seem in GT as is Super Saiya-jin 4.
