Meiling Li is a tansfer student to Sakura's school in Japan from Hong Kong, China. She is Shaoran's fiance/cousin...that's special... But anyway, when she first comes she walks in on the scene of Shaoran, Sakura and Tomoyo and Sakura is wearing the very cute t-shirt that Meiling bought for Shaoran cuz she fell in the water earlier and Wei let her wear that shirt. Meiling gets the idea that there's more goin on between those two than there really is right then and automatically is angery at Sakura who has NO idea what's going on (boy, can I realate to her dillema...:i) I never know what's goin on it drives my teachers crazy... But back to Meiling. She hates Sakura and tries her best to help Shaoran capture Clow Cards before Sakura. She competes againts her is gym class and gets ticked off when Sakura matches her athletic skills...most likely cuz she is scared to lose Shaoran to Sakura because, despite the fact that Meiling is realated to Shaoran she posesses NO magical powers and Sakura does, so she figures,"I'll just show Shaoran how great I am at gym class and then he'll see!" Right? Wrong. It turns out Sakura is as good at p.e. as she is. This is why Meiling takes great pride in her fighting abilities. This is where she outclasses Sakura- the one categorey where she stands to shine! She is so talented at the Martial arts she actually rivals the Fight card! Well, in any case Meiling matures and realizes S+S is the way it's gonna be like it or not...But she's strong and knows that life goes on. ^0^ Sakura and Meiling are finally friends when they put the past away. Meiling is a deep, down-to-earth character and has problems in her life that I can realate to, if you don't like her you obviously don't understand her! ;D
